Next Door Kitchen and Bar

We came here on new year’s day, and the waiter (French descent?) was very kind to inform us on the public holiday surcharge. We orderd the $30 lunch board for 2, with an additional $3 for drinks (red/white wine, or soft drinks). It was priced reasonably and tasted delicious. However, the calamari pieces and fish slices in the meal are just too little. There were not many people at the time we visited (around 2pm) and the service was prompt.

Good service but my meal was far from desirable. I asked for my steak cooked medium and it was well done completely ruining the meat. To make things worse it was over salted and my coke which was served in a whiskey glass full of ice wasn't enough to wash the unpleasant taste away.

Awful experience. First we were told we couldn't sit at a certain table (even though the restaurant was near to empty) the starters were very over priced for what they were..the cocktail jug had no alcahol in it or if it did wasn't measured correctly as it tasted like a jug of ginger ale. Mains were pre heated and Duck was very dry. Waiters came and took your plates as soon as you had your last bite of food..was very rushed like they were tryimg to get rid of you. Wouldn't reccomend this place for any occasion.

Asked for a rare steak, only for it to come to me well done. Waiter was rambling about not making any profit for there special steak ($20 steak & beer)

$15 chicken salad with half a cherry tomato and rocket. Absolutely nothing else to this meal.
