Story

The Neighbourhood Justice Centre is Australia’s first community justice centre; a cutting edge law reform that puts community at the centre of the justice system.

The Neighbourhood Justice Centre combines a multi-jurisdictional court with a variety of treatment and support services. We work with the local Yarra community to prevent and reduce crime, improve safety and increase local confidence in and access to the justice system.

As a community justice centre, the community is at the centre of everything we do. We work in partnership with local organisations and community members to tackle local jutsice, crime and safety issues, and come up with lasting, local solutions. We also support programs that tackle disadvantage, to provide real and practical benefit to the community.
