When we arrived to order, 2 young women at counter were rudely saying loudly Runner, Runner over and over until another staff member stopped washing dishes and came to collect food to deliver.

I didn't like how rude and obnoxious they sounded

I love coming here. Set in lovely surroundings which you can tell are tended to with care. The food is very nice however it is quite pricey (hence 4 stars instead of 5). The staff are friendly. The selection of food from the menu and the cabinet is also excellent. Even though this cafe is set next to a main road, it is still very relaxing to sit in.

The best bits for me are that it's kid friendly, dog friendly and LGBTQ-friendly. All very inclusive indeed!  I'd recommend this over almost all other roadside cafes I have tried. 😁

I had a Steak Pie and a Pork Pie. Should have taken a picture sooner but the food was so delicious I couldn't stop myself. Staff is incredibly nice, plenty of seating, and a clean environment. Food and coffee are made right in front of you. Fantastic experience, highly recommended!

Must stop cafe from Auckland to Matamata. The environment is good. Pet friendly break place.

Not cheap but generous and if you're not a big eater you can share. Lovely outdoor seating. Entrance and outdoor seating wheelchair accessible but no access to toilets or counter.
