Go here. Lots of outdoor covered seating near the beach, so good all year round. Good coffee and a surprisingly large menu from the kitchen or cabinet. Nicely cooked chips and good pies too, which are things that many other places get wrong. Very good service. Local bird life can be a nuisance.

Superb beachside location plus mighty menu & great service

I've sampled many pies around New Zealand and these are some of the best. Try the steak and cheese. Ginger crunch is good also.
