You guys have been there for so long and because you don't have near buy compition. You have lost your love in cooking. This is a family business so get back into it ....your rice is bland, pork is dry,noodles undercooked...so dissopointed. I haven't gotten this for a few years and thought I would give it another go.. really not nice at all. Come on, I know you can do better.
Don’t know where this 30 years experience is… This was our first time ordering from Nanking since we moved out to Bushy, the special fried rice honestly looked and tasted like it was boiled, the honey chicken was very bland, the curry beef was sub par in taste also and the spring rolls came with no sauce. We’re expecting top notch Chinese are promoting they had over 30 years experience. Safe to say won’t be back
Very disappointing. Bland special fried rice, the satay chicken had no flavour, honey chicken was watery and soggy, we asked for garlic prawns with chillies and it had neither chillies or garlic. Only decent part of the meal was the dim sims and they were still ordinary. Paid $89 for meal and couldn't even throw in prawn crackers, will not be going again.
The blandest Chinese food we’ve ever had, absolutely no taste, I ordered meat combo which had 4 very small pieces of chicken a 3 bits of beef/pork the rest was large chunks of onions, carrots and cauliflower. The jumbo special fried rice was plain white rice obviously just boiled and about 8 small shrimp and a few veggies. $49.00 for a tasteless meal. Very poor effort Nanking.
I've been going here since I was a child. The family who runs it are so friendly and sweet, even remembering who I was years later. They're THE BEST Chinese restaurant in Townsville. Their black bean is delicious and full of flavour, the sauce for the sweet and sour pork is perfect, the noodles always delicious. No place comes close to the level of Nanking.

The worst Chinese food I have EVER eaten! It's absolutely criminal that they are allowed to charge people a cent for this putrid stuff! I am appalled! I ordered combination short soup and received a container of weird tasting wanton and 3 pieces of shrivelled meat. No vegetables at all. The special fried rice consisted of plain boiled white rice with a few peas and tiny diced ham. The garlic king prawns had 6 small prawns. You people are an absolute disgrace! *Wouldn't give one star but had to.
Worst Chinese we have ever had. Special fried rice wasn't our idea of special, more like boiled rice with a few vegetables and a few little bits of meat. Sweat and sour pork was accompanied by a small container of sauce with no vegetables and the honey batter with tough steak honey steakwe through in the bin. Must admit the food in the bain Marie looked much better than what we ordered maybe that's why so many people we getting it instead.
Nanking makes amazing food and has brilliant customer service. The staff are always so kind and polite. I am absolutely disgusted by two customers today who were rude and abusive to staff for minor issues, one which was brought on by their own fauliure in ordering. I cannot fault how beautifully this was handled by the owner who remained graceful and calm despite the behaviour of those two women today. Please keep making beautiful food, you are an amazing restaurant! I've been coming back for 5 years and will continue to do so.
First impression: Staff greeted me with a smile, so that was a good start. Serving sizes are great, food was cold but that was my fault as used to work at a different Chinese restaurant and a 40 minute wait could easily turn into an hour so gave more time but since it was cold, can assume was ready on time and I overestimated. Ordered SS fish, large pieces of fish with a tasty SS sauce. Very enjoyable. Keen to try other dishes from here, will be going back
