Some toys are well priced and some are over priced, however the staff are awful. The woman asked us to put our masks on which I respect as her husband had cancer recently. So I can completely respect that. However, we had to hear her entire rant about what she’s been through during Covid, which was her husbands illness, along with bush fires and the floods. My grandmother gave her sympathy and said in response “ I understand. It has been hard for many. I just lost my husband, and my brother “. To our shock she spoke over her, again about how “ she needs a break the year has been too rough “. So my grandmother said it once again. And the owners response was “ I just can’t believe how bad my year has been “. SO RUDE! Your husband is alive and a woman just told you that she lost hers, AND her brother. Had we not have already just paid, we would have dropped the items and left. Thank you for leaving my grandmother in tears. Such a self centred rude owner, I hope no one shops there.
Travelled for over 2 hours to come into this store where we were greated by the most horrific, rude and ill mannered woman in our lives . We complied and wore masks which we respected as she overspoke us numerous amounts of times telling us her husband had cancer yet were followed around the store by her partner who has cancer and told to keep our masks over our faces. My wife and I both had our masks on covering our nostrils yet it was not good enough ! My wife suffers from a very rare heart condition and in herself is very unwell we came in to purchase a bear in remembrance of our baby of whom recently passed away yet walked out in disgust and empty handed ! Absolutely disgraceful!! If I could rate this store 0 stars that's what you would be getting ! Stay away !!!!
Well lets just say that after my visit today at Nana's Teddies I dare say that I wont be back!!. Reason being that they are way over priced, you can buy elsewhere in most cases much cheaper an for the same thing. As I was looking at particular Padding bear for son yet I found it for $40 cheaper, and yes it was a authentic item compared to your asking price of $90. But however absolute huge range of teddies good store lay.
We found the owner a bit pedantic, however, I bought a few things for my great grandaughter. I do NOT think they are racist just because they sell ‘gollywogs’ a toy most of us grew up with in the 40’s and 50’s. I adored mine and carried it around till it fell apart - I also had a porcelain Geisha doll from Japan, a Hawaiian doll, a blonde blue eyed walking doll and a large Teddybear, plus a Blinky Bill Koala bear. We were taught that not everyone is the same and enjoyed the differences in our toys. My family come from English, Irish, Scottish and French backgrounds - I was teased mercilessly about my French Surname, which was hard, but have managed to grow up unscathed. Bit sick of the WOKE brigade taking offence at EVERYTHING and using the word racist randomly about anyone who isn’t black!!!! Get a grip - I am not a racist, never have been and never will be! Grew up with Aboriginals living not far away etc., and got along with them as well as Italians, Greeks and various other ethnic groups.
I have never been to store, but have bought on- line for years. I have always been treated with great service. I don't think customers should handle some of the bears as some are expensive. I would recommend the shop 100% , along with a couple of other stockist I wouldn't shop anywhere else. I recently wrote a status on facebook which could of been taken negative, but never aimed at this shop as they are great in keeping you updated on products and I find the prices quiet fair compared to other stockists. .
Wonderful staff, sensible covid policy 3 people at a time, wear masks, sanitize hands clean, pretty and magical. It was like walking into a teddy bear fanatics dream! For the people complaining about price - most of the bears here are artist or vintage style bears. They stock high-quality, detailed and branded bears. Most of them are hand-made. Some of them are quite rare. You can find treasures here you just can't get at a Westfields or something. It's a unique place with collectors in mind. I think the prices are fair and normal for the brands stocked. That said there are still plenty of really nice affordable bears here! I would happily bring a child here as they have lots of options. The other comment saying you can't touch the bears is false. You can touch bears you are considering buying. They just don't want you to touch too many you won't buy because it's a pandemic and that's just sensible. They have payment plans and even international shipping. You can't complain it's too good. Recommended to all.
Rubbish customer service. Very rude staff. We were looking forward to browsing but were kicked out because our kids didn't have face masks despite them not being legally required to because they are under 12. So my husband and I relinquished our masks to give them to our girls so they could browse around, then we were told they couldn't look without an adult present. You certainly don't know how to accommodate customers. Maybe focus on that, rather than extorting customers to buy masks off you.
Kids 2 years old and over need to wear masks to enter the shop despite this policy not being clear on their website when I checked 25th January 2021. If this was the case we wouldn't have bothered driving there. My 3 and 5 year old kids were excluded from going in and obviously very disappointed. One of my sons has a profound hearing loss and needs to lip read in order to understand and vice versa meaning we both have exemptions from wearing one but I didn't feel comfortable mentioning this as the customer service was very lacking. I would recommend you mention the mask policy at the top of your website because it is different to NSW health guidelines.
Products amazing. Good quality. Huge range. Some staff are not pleasant. Be aware that they don't want you to touch them AND they are NOT welcoming to children.
Magical place, been coming here for years to get a lifetime Teddy for our grandchildren. First visit was 11 years ago & the bear is still going strong. This time was for the 9th grandchild.
