my hair was born in August 2007 when Stuart & Maree Smith withdrew their, then, two stores (Bendigo & Echuca, in Victoria) from a National Franchise Group and renamed their stores my hair. The renaming of the business was of major importance to reflect exactly what happens within the stores.

The business is a very much family owned and operated organisation with all the Smith children (Regina, Louisa, Ellen & James) participating in the planning, management & operation of the stores.
