I went to Murphy's Steak House looking for a nice steak. What I found were cheap prices and excellent portion sizes! However the food lacked seasoning and the steak came out colder than I would like. The service was very mellow, often times staff aren't doing much due to no customers, with one staff member being in a video call at the front counter. Had the service and food been better I might of rated this a 5 star, but I would only go here if I was looking for a cheap meal to fill me up.
Love this place. The steak is always perfect to the way I like it. And the staff are always friendly. Great food, amazing portions. Definitely recommend if ya need some hearty food and a chill atmosphere.
Great feed,rumo steak beautifully cooked. Too much for me and I am a big eater. Will be my first choice for a feed if I return to Porirua. Don't be deterred by the basic appearance.
The schnitzel is the best I've tasted. Cooked crisply and seasoned well absolutely delicious! The dish is a winner. We also had 2 other steaks.. the rump and porterhouse... also prepared well with in a reasonable time. I've always enjoyed the steaks here!
Bought a Steak dinner for my daughter from there and she absolutely loved it but because I didn't have a meal from there I give it a three stars until I have tried it so if any one else has had a meal there they can maybe recommend more stars if they think Murphys is worth it.
Love the portion of food they provide, I love the food they serve always, only wish they upgraded the restaurant abit more it feels to much at home rather than eating out other than that love them
Not bad but not good. Food was on the cold side, needed to zap it in the microwave. Portions size very good.
The lamb curry they have is terrible it’s more like a soup and it’s tasteless it doesn’t even taste of an authentic Indian lamb curry, think it’s Fijian Indian curry. Would not recommend to get this as your main meal. And real boney with lots of fat. If made with aroha yeah maybe it would definitely get 5 stars
Too busy talking to each other out the back, blatantly ignored us, and then served someone who had just walked in, after we had waited for 10 minutes. Well done! You've just lost one of your loyal customers.....believe what you hear, this place has totally gone to the pack.....don't bother.
$15 munch 1 egg, salad & crunchy chips & 2 slices of buttered bread . Steak cooked to the way you want it. I'm a medium perfect but the best part they left my fat on my rump steak bahahaha.
