Muddy Creek car-park is the termination of the maintained section of the Rees Valley Road. It is simply a gravel pull-off area where you may leave a car if traversing further up the Rees Valley. The access in/out of this back country area is tenuous at best as there are fords to cross and any rain can result in an area of such steep relief. This is not recommended for overnight stays!! It is simply a small gravel car park amongst a native beech forest, which is at time extremely susceptible as a fire risk!

The track to the Rock Shelter is beautiful and easy. You can camp in the car park.
