The lady serving on her own was bloody fantastic. So friendly, accommodating and serving a busy eatery on her own...with a smile. The food was very disappointing. Flavourless, unseasoned, not fresh tasting as mexican should be. The same sauce on everything...please. A great spot with a great ambience that needs to kick the chef in the arse or get a new one.
Not sure what they dished me up but it was far from fajitas! Some pot full of what I’d describe as mush with not a single piece of beef as on the menu to be seen. My partners had 4 small strips in hers. Won’t get me again! Go real wide of this joint.
This was our first time eating here, it was so delicious and flavourful, I couldn't fault anything. Great atmosphere too. We'll definitely be coming back!
Extremely disappointing Food was very plain..not much filling or flavour Really gone downhill since last there, and overpriced But overall service never experienced anything so bad We were totally forgotten bout placed in cnr which is fine No one checked to see if we wanted to order No check in to see if they could offer drinks Waited very long time for a meal given so many excuses. 1 star for child’s meal No communication And when gave feedback…blown off And attitude we were given when spoke to them bout our experience NEVER return And have worked in hospitality so I know how it works !
Have been coming here for 30+ years. We got take away on Monday night and the tacos were empty, the tosada's had 5 beans, a teaspoon of beef and and a slice of lettuce. The enchiladas are half the size of normal and no filling. And there was no rice with the meals. Very disappointed, have always been consistent here with what you get but this was very bad.
Disappointed, could not eat the food! We had been looking forward to trying this place in hopes of some authentic Mexican! The decor was the only thing worth giving stars to. Cocktails were watery and barely alcoholic. The food was a poor attempt at Mexican and you’d do better going to Gomez. The servings were small and totally over priced, we started with guacamole to share, we each got 3 corn chips. I ordered the Fajitas, they were in edible, the chicken was rubbery and it was cooked in an enchilada sauce that tasted more like a marinara sauce. I literally spat it out, it tasted raw, really weird texture. There were no peppers or onions, it was not Fajitas it’s was a sloppy stew of grossness. It came with 3 small tortillas, a teaspoon of guacamole and a weird bowl of coleslaw with shredded cheese?? No rice or beans, really strange, like they had run out of food? My husband is now sick from eating some of my bad fajitas. How do you mess up fajitas? Poor example of Mexican food! For a party of 5 we spent over $300 and left feeling hungry. I’m hoping this is not the best Newcastle has to offer. We will not be going back!
I have uploaded the menu as it was tricky for some to find; Tidy restaurant, food is great, especially on wednesdays for $12 combinations. Gluten free options avail
Lovely night night with my family on Cantina night. Food was excellent.
Average food, tasteless Margherita. The salsa tastes like hotdog sauce, furthermore the beef fajita filling that came in a bowl it was mostly “hotdog sauce” with almost no pieces of beef. Guacamole was not guacamole, it was just smashed avocado with no seasoning and salt whatsoever. Salad was anything but Mexican. Taco shells were just low quality. The service was friendly but very slow. Decoration is good but it won’t make me going back again. Everything else was good.
Food is solid and taaty.. Had the Fajita... But 2nd visit and the margaritas are lacking. Small thing that can be fixed.. But when you have a fantastic margarita and one from Muchos you can tell the difference. Staff very friendly and helpfulFood: 4/5
