This is the perfect place for a walk up the roadway closed off for cars unless you apply for a gate code that gets the heart rate up and lots of steps for leg strengthening .. I've seen people looping around several times.. then of course a full 360 degree views. Sunrise or sunset it's a special place to have on the east Bays doorstep.
I go jogging here semi regularly and it's a great spot. A nice path that goes all the way up to Pt England and connects to the walk there. Almost always other people on the path, dogs, cyclists etc and sports being played on the weekends. Great views of the estuary too. Often rowing/ boating out on the water.
Mount Wellington is a suburb in East Auckland, New Zealand, located 10 kilometres southeast of the city centre. It’s a beautiful place with lots of windy. You can see Auckland’s 360 Degree view from top of the hill.
Great to take the kids to have a picnic and play at the playground or fields. Nice people and I haven't seen any trouble there in the last year ive done walks there. Good walking pathways. Nice and clean.
Great alternative to nearby St Heliers or Mission May not too far from Most east & south suburbs, highly maintained park, public toilets are closed atm due to the current situation we face. Expansive grounds great for all sports. Also an excellent area for cycling.
