Mt Taranaki mean so much to me. There isn't a day where I haven't started at the mountain mesmerized in its beauty. Going on and around the mountain is great. Always great place to be and is so fun and rewarding. I go at least once a month. It's a part of me.

Stunning views up an extremely challenging summit track. Must be prepared with min 3L water and gear as suggested by DOC/visitors center. Parts of the summit track are very rocky (lizard's back ridge) or slippery (gravel slope). No cover/shelter, sun screen/hat is a must.

Amazing spot for views over the North Island. Not a demanding walk up to the summit, both definitely worth packing the appropriate equipment. Weather conditions can change quickly and whiteout is common. Without doubt one of the best spots on the island.

This is a beautiful place. I have a amazing memory of going up to the top and having snowball fights.

Beautiful cone, walk up parts of it most times we go to NP and every time it is magical. Very rare to get blue skies though because the mountain always has a cloud around it.
