My biggest complaint was that our receipt contained a hidden charge of $6.50 which didn't seem right. When I questioned it, it took 4 staff to quiz each other about what it was. At first they suggested that it was a 'starter' charge. What? A hidden charge for ordering an entree? Finally they refunded me $6 in cash, since I had already paid, short changing me 50 cents.nnI recommend asking to see the bill at this place- watch out for hidden charges in their bills and be sure and question them, especially if it's not stated on the menu.nnI can't fault the food- it was delicious, even if our pizza was slightly burnt.nnLet's fact it, the service here is bad. It took 45 minutes to get our food I have a 4 year old and people were served before us who were there after us. When I asked for cracked pepper, I was given salt, and by the time I realised, our waitress had forgotten us.nnI don't think we'll be back anytime soon. I can get good food and good service in so many other places.
Spent $48.50 on 2 pizzas, garlic bread and drink and it was completely undercooked and gave me an upset stomach due to the uncooked dough of the pizza and garlic bread. I called to complain and they were annoyed that I called. Instead of taking responsibility and being apologetic that they made me sick and ruined my dinner, they didn’t care at all and went “me vs them”. That says so much about what kind of people they are. They also short-changed me on the refund by 50 cents. Not going to bother asking for that, it just really adds insult to injury. They’re absolutely criminal.
I haven't had a pizza from Monte's for some time and was very happy with what I ordered for pick-up yesterday, a busy Friday night. Two improvements noted: the large pizza bases were properly thin and cooked through there has been a tendency in the past to rush the cooking and the bases end up half-raw and they've switched up the pepperoni they use to something that tastes miles better than the sausage used previously.
I visited with a friend for dinner recently.nI experienced a delicious meal and a friendly waitress – however it was a pity about the rude service from a middle aged man at the front making pizzas.nnWhen we arrived at about 5:30pm, we were left standing in the door way without being greeted for a few minutes while there was multiple staff Infront of us, the man eventually asked if we were picking up an order to which we responded we wanted to eat in. He said should be fine and pointed at a table. It felt pretty uncomfortable and like we weren’t wanted there.nnOnce the waitress arrived, we ordered & felt more welcome as she was friendly. We ordered a Joeliana pizza, butternut pumkin & goat cheese ravioli & garden salad, no faults with the food at all, it was lovely.nnOverall we enjoyed the food but were disappointed by the service.
My experience at Monte's in Blaxland was disappointing, to say the least. Despite booking a table for two at 6 pm, my partner and I ended up waiting for over an hour without any updates on our order. We were both famished, having only ordered a garlic bread and a single pizza to share. Throughout our wait, we watched as the empty restaurant gradually filled up, with larger groups being served before us.nnWhat frustrated us even more was the lack of communication from the staff despite our inquiries about the status of our order. It was disheartening to see tables of six or more receive their pizzas and pastas while we were left waiting.nnIn the end, hunger got the better of us, and we had to walk out to find food elsewhere. The whole experience left us feeling let down and undervalued as customers. While the ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant, the poor service and seemingly arbitrary order of service left a sour taste in our mouths. We won't be returning anytime soon.
