Amazing experience. We chose the vampire story which was not really tough challenge. The lady was so friendly and was helping with the hints to help us to complete the level.
We did the Lost Mine escape room with five people. A really well planned and thought out puzzle. Probably the most interactive escape room out there. Challenging but not too difficult. Definitely worth a go!
Our team had a great time with The Lost Mine Room, the story was compelling and the room was creative and challenging. We had a group of 6 and it was a good amount of people. This is my second time here and I would recommend this Escape Room to players of all expertise levels. Looking forward to trying out other rooms at mission escape.
If you’re reading this, I recommend choosing a different escape room. I paid $80 for a room 2 people, but it was not worth that much money. Quite a cheapskate set up. Torches essential to the puzzles were not working, props were broken and most puzzles relied on the staff seeing you doing something through the camera. We got really confused when what we thought was correct didn’t work and it was because the staff member didn’t see us doing it on the camera. He then must have started paying attention because he asked us to check something else was placed correctly, and it was... I’m guessing there’s no monitoring system on his end. I understand not every escape room is going to be an automated, high tech set up, but if it’s going to hinder the experience then reduce the price. And I know the owner will probably respond to this and not take responsibility for broken things like the other reviews. You’re losing customers this way.
We decided to attempt The Last Order after enjoying Trapped at the George St location. This room was so immersive and loved how the story begins before you even step foot into the room. The storyline got better as we progressed through the room which is something that a lot of escape rooms lack. Overall another fantastic experience at Mission escape and looking forward to doing more of their rooms!
We did the vampire castle and it was so much fun. Some of us where beginners and this was a great start getting into escape rooms. The host was lovely and very friendly. Had an amazing time.
Mission Escape doesn’t disappoint! We did The Lost Mine level which was extremely difficult but still very fun loved the mechanics in this level. Even though we tried to not use hints, when we did ask, Viki was so helpful and kind really gave the experience that little bit more wow! Can’t wait to try out more of the rooms here at Pitt St and George St too!
Having done escape rooms in Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Canberra, and Sydney, I feel quite confident in saying that Mission Escape have some of the best escape rooms in Australia. The first room I did here was Dr. M, which was one of the first escape rooms I'd ever done, and it still remains one of my favourites. I've since done The Lost Mine, Unstoppable, Trapped, and my personal favourite escape room of all time, The Sacrifice. The team at Mission Escape have done an amazingly good job with creating immersive escape room experiences given the limitations of the buildings they are set up in. Some escape rooms in the city very much feel like you're just in a office building with some props in it, but Mission always manage to make their escape rooms look and feel very real. The rooms all have a pretty good range of puzzle difficulty too, so there's always value for new players and experienced players in every room. Overall, I can't recommend these rooms enough, and if you're a fan of escape rooms already, you simply have to give The Sacrifice a go.
The Lost Mine - what an awesome escape room. So much fun with all the mechanical components, so many challenging but clever puzzles within puzzles and varying concepts meant that every member of our group contributed to our escape! Totally recommend this room
We did Dr M escape room and it was great and fun. The only thing that brought made me give 3 instead of 5 was customer service. The girl that took us into our room was rude as she thought our booking time was 5:20pm and proceeded to tell us off for being late even though we were 15 minutes early and finished our waver before 5:30pm. She kept telling us that she has other people after us and the timer already started 10 minutes after our booked time and she would be cutting our time in the escape room short. When I showed her proof of the booked time she didn’t even have the decency to apologise to us and just talked to her colleagues and said “I thought it was 5:20pm”. I think you need to train your staff in customer service as it ruined our supposedly happy family outing and mood.
