Seriously, I have stayed in many Motels, both in and near our great Capital, though none have been more welcoming than the Mid City Motor Inn in Queanbeyan. There Motel rooms met every need for not only an overnight stop but a weekly or extended booking. There is a wonderful pub next door which has has terrific beer, food and hospitality. The Motel rooms have from my account been renovated fairly recently, they were immaculately presented and resourced with quality fittings and consumables. The young lady who works in reception was very welcoming, even offered me a refreshment while I filled out my booking details! Who does this?? Well they do! It seemed like it was a family business from long ago that takes the time to show an interest in your travels. Definitely the spot to stay in this area. Oh and the garden. Well kept and just Lovely!!

The room was ok however, I have a couple of issues. The first being that there is a large sign outside the motel that shows FOXTEL. I could not find it on my television. The second being, I could not log on to the free wifi which was advertised as provided by the motel. I went to reception and spoke with a staff member, who called her daughter (The owner, I believe). This person was rude and stonewalled me from the start, was un-cooperative and aggressive and as a result, I gave up communication and walked back to my room. She verbally harangued me as I walked across the courtyard and up the stairs, to the extent that I expected the police to knock on my door and ask me to leave the premises. I travel through Queanbeyan regularly and I will not stay here again. If I could give no stars, I would as the bathroom was a little smelly as well.

So glad I booked with these guys for the couple of nights I was there. Rooms are great with great amenities, fantastic service and the staff are so friendly. Walking distance to everything you'd need.
