The Metro Theatre has long been Sydney’s leading independent rock venue and has played host to some of the most memorable live gigs Sydney music fans have seen and heard. Been there many times to see bands not a bad band venue.
Great venue, however if your wearing earplugs don't stand near the stage as the sound drones a bit too much. Apart from that I have seen many amazing bands here over the years!
If it wasn't for the Cronavirus. Awesome bands would be booked at this location.
Good venue though not much space. Show was a sell out so hard to move around to get to the bar or toilet. Sound was good though would have liked it a bit louder. Toilets were not coping hence 4 stars not 5. No hand towels and extremely bad urine smell. Exit from the venue after the show was quite fast.
Great venue its not so big so any position has good view. Sound was a not as loud as I would like, I had a walk around and couldn't find a sweet spot. Maybe it was the band or their sound guy?
Absolutely beautiful theatre. Saw Opeth here in December and was not disappointed.
Easy to get in/out and around. Staff are friendly. A limited capacity venue makes it appealing for most. It's intimate enough whilst still having quite a bit of space. Sound quality for rock bands is fantastic. Sure, the venue is a bit run down but renovating it would be an injustice.
Cool venue. Saw a Linkin Park tribute band there. No complaints whatsoever.
A little old, a little dated but if you are going to see the DKs or any good mosh pit band, then this venue is the place. A bar that sells full strength, served fast despite the crowds. Up there with the best that Sydney has to offer.
Amazing facilities and really gives a good vibes for a concert. Cant wait to be back
