Surprisingly poor tasting coffee, considering the name value of the company. I am by no means an expert in coffee and I can't pin point whether it is the blend or the quality of the beans. I also had the same experience at another Merlo Cafe previously so I don't think it is just a coincidence. Parking: Enough parking spaces available except they are inaccessible due to morons parking in Clear zone.
I attend here regularly with several members of my ski paddling crew after our morning river training sessions & we have always received excellent service & great coffee. Parking is a dream & the Merlo team led by Nick & now Nikki are always upbeat & greet us with smiles & a warm welcome every time. Why go elsewhere? Best Staff, Best Service & Best Coffee by far - see you there!!
Zahra served me the best cup of coffee that I have ever had in my life. 10/10
1.5 shot 12oz coffee’s. Am I missing something? Might as well be drinking hot milk. Whose idea was this? Please don't tell me you are catering to all patrons needs. I had to pay extra for a normal dose and it still came out as a 1.5 from force of habit by the barista where an agreement was made to make as ordered. Still a weak 2 shot though. At least the sandwich was good. No need to offer me any freebies to make it good either. Just being honest. I dont know of any other place that makes 1.5 shot 12oz’s. If thats what you do. Thats what you do.
Merlo's single origin beans will satisfy the snobbiest of coffee snobs. Well worth the trip to Bowen Hills.
Love buying beans from here, great service and a complimentary coffee to go, girls behind the counter are friendly and helpful. Can't wait to grind some coffee beans. Cheers.
Was served by a rude lady with an attitude problem. Can’t recall her name but she had a beanie and nose ring. She needs to learn the skill of customer service and fix that attitude. Coffee is always good though nonetheless
Once a month I buy a coffee when I am on my way to my friends place. It is not a different order, a caramel latte with an extra shot of coffee but every month they stuff it up. Today there is on caramel. I personally don’t drink coffee but buy it as a treat. Please serve the orders in the order they are placed and get them correct.
Great coffee and great service, especially from Lucy, who served me everyday with a great smile.
Good coffee, good service. I would just recommend to improve the method of ordering like little screen with what is been ordered/stickers/paper with what is been ordered for the team to know what to prepare I have received couple of free coffees because my order was incomplete or was taking to long. But everything is delicious and I will keep coming back
