We visited the Bowen Arrow cafe on a Saturday and then Sunday morning, having come for weekend visit. The coffee was good, although the first day they forgot to put the coffee into a mug instead of a disposable cup as we were eating in, but this was done correctly the next day. They also kindly turned the loud! TV down during our visit. Food toasties, bacon and egg muffin was also good, and well-priced. The staff were friendly.
This is nice place to sit and have a breakfast. New owners trying very hard to bring the business back on track and doing every single thing they can. Food is delicious and new chef is awesome with presentation of food. Great place and team.
I was visiting from Interstate for work. This cafe was across the road from my accomodation. Every morning without fail Layla greeted me with a friendly face and a good coffee to kick start my day. Even better that they started using Campos Coffee on my last few days there. 5 stars for Layla!
Unfortunately the friendly staff provided very poor service. Waited an hour before the cook even became aware of the food we had ordered. Then proceeded to take another half an hour for take away food toasties, B&E muffin and coffee. Very upset with their ability to be efficient, although plenty of staff working.
I was standing in line behind a lady who ordered a cream cheese & salmon bagel on rye bread. Took 30 minutes and her order came out as a bun not a bagel, on WHITE bread. Then they remade it for her, but still on white bread not rye, and without cream cheese. She was too polite to say anything, but I could see the hurt in her eyes. $16.90
The food and service was really good, the coffee was very good as well. The tables were very sticky, even though they sprayed something and wiped them over while we were there. The waitress said it’s the varnish or surface of the tables that are sticky. Sticky they were, even the floors were sticky. I’ve been there 3 times now and sat at different tables - all sticky. I have no idea why they are like this, but they are??
I adore this place. This is my colleague and Is local for brunch on our breaks. They cafe staff are absolutely wonderful and the food is always delicious. My Goto for a quick bite is either a garlic bagel with butter or a blueberry bagel with strawberry jam and cream cheese. For more lux meals my faves are the French toast, Mi Gorang and the Chicky Waffle Always good for a Chai Latte as well.
coffee was good but, food was bland tasteless and cold after waiting 45 mins for it. it really wasn't busy but the guy in the kitchen was working without a care in the world. funniest part, asked and paid for an eggs Benny with Salmon, but given Bacon, nice brekkie for someone Halal
Unfortunately the girl working here this morning did not know how to make a long black or double espresso. Maybe check with the Campos rep about charging $5 for or a cup of hot water with some coffee waived over the top…
Great coffee, great service, wonderful food. Would bet they have the best acai bowl in Brisbane.
