Merlo Coffee began more than 20 years ago with a simple philosophy – freshly roasted coffee served by people who are passionate about coffee.

Bustling little store with excellent coffee. Tables both inside and outside. Could be even better with the addition of free wifi, which Merlo stores lack.

I love cafes that don't charge extra for lactose free milk (especially long life). Here the coffees are exemplary and it's served with a smile by polite and friendly staff. The place is small but what it lacks in size it makes up in heart. Whenever I need beans, this is where I go. The only downside is because they are small, their range is limited but the bean of the month is always a good way to try a different roast. Just gotta figure out how I can get more if I find one I like.

Had enough time to grab a coffee and catch my breath. I loved it was about 350m from central station. Coffee was quick, but more importantly smooth. No bitter aftertaste. No over extraction either. Smoked salmon bagel was delicious also! I would prefer to see a little more attention to food orders and customers from the staff, but I also know I'm fussy.

Great coffee and fantastic staff. Fast service as well. Never be put off by a queue there- it moves fast.
