The room was nice, although bathroom was a bit outdated.nCheck in was easy but we had 1 card for 3 people.nBecause of this, we did get locked out of the hotel at 1am as the person we were travelling with had returned early and had fallen asleep with the card. Thankfully, we used the phone outside the door to call security who were able to assist us getting inside and to our room. I would suggest giving more than one card next time and if I stayed again I would ask for another one.nnBreakfast was not worth the extra we paid. We arrived for breakfast just after 9, and our party did not get all of their breakfast until after 10am. It was obvious that one of our party had been forgottennWhen it finally arrived, our food was cold, our eggs were boiled instead of poached, and I even found an egg shell in mine. This was disappointing and had the lady at the front desk not been so nice and polite, I would've complained and asked for the breakfast not be be charged to our account.nnDue to breakfast taking so long we were locked out of our room, even though front desk gave us late checkout due to kitchen taking so long. We then had to get new cards activated just to get our belongings, and my husband had to personally ask the cleaning staff not to clean the room which I thought was a bit strange.nnOverall, our party was happy and I would stay there again but there is certainly room for improvement.
It was an okay stay. We arrived in our room to find it filled with 5 people staff having a meeting in there, so we had to wait in corridor until they left.nThe location was fine, the room comfortable enough, staff pleasant. The bathroom was okay, except for the toilet which was very uncomfortable, it was squashed into a corner next to the shower with hardly any room, to be able to use it with any comfort you had to sit ‘side saddle’. Both my hubby and me used the toilets in the foyer a lot rather than the one in our room.nThe restaurant was okay, food nothing outstanding, staff pleasant although our meals were rushed even when we asked to a break between courses. ‘Happy hour’ was a very limited range of drinks. Breakfast was another money grabbing event, with the ‘big breakfast’ not including the continental, if you wanted cereal, fruit juice or coffee it all cost extra, $18 extra!nHubby used the pool which he said was nice and they did supply ‘pool towels’.nHousekeeping were only advantage also, towels were taken either if hung up and not replaced, when I asked reception for a towel to replace the one they took I was given and old hard pool towel! Toilet paper wasn’t replaced we had to buy our own rolls.nWe did manage to get car parking in the disabled spaces which were close to the entrance near the lift.nThey were efficient getting us a taxi when it was required.
We found the accommodations to be incredibly comfortable. The bed was plush and inviting, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a long day of exploring the city. The room itself was spacious and well-appointed, providing all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The hotel's location was convenient, making it easy to access live show and nearby restaurants.
The showers have a very unreliable hot water system during showering randomly gets boiling then cold. Also had an issue where I went to swipe into my room and my key wouldn’t work. Returned to the front desk, no apology, was told it was fixed, tried to enter my room again, it failed, returned to the front desk, again no apology, thankfully third time lucky it worked. The lift is also very old and clunky, doesn’t feel that safe when inside and is very jerky.
We stopped for an overnight stay here, and it was a satisfactory one. The rooms are clean, and though you can see some dated layout you can see that attempts were made to not make it even more dated. The bathroom tiles are a bit slippery though—something to be mindful of.nnIt’s nice to have the option of either continental or hot breakfast off the menu. Helpful as we were traveling with four young children.
