I swim here pretty much every week for swim comps and it’s great. Both indoor and outdoor pools are wonderful and they are both able to change from 50 meter to 25 meter pool. This is where the swimming was for the 2006 commonwealth games. There was a flow rider but now it’s been changed to a performance pool which is a pool that has jets so it fells like a never ending pool. The Swimming Australia Short Course Open Nationals will be held here for the next 3 years. The bball courts are wonderful also. Everything is great to be honest.

A great place to have s swim with the kids. Plenty of pools. I dont like the fact that you have to now pay for parking as well as a $13 admission fee just to use the pools. Gym membership is about 120+ per month and that includes pool access. Quite pricey to be honest.

Been coming here for the past 6 months to train and it’s a great venue. Free hour of parking is available in adjacent car parks. Only downside to MSAC is that the water inside is too cold for winter.

I tried out the centre with a friend yesterday morning Sunday 11.00 am . I have had a foot injury and wanted to swim in my depth so I could rest. I Thought that the hydro pool would be best but it had a prebooked event and wouldn’t be available until 2.00 pm. We then went to the shallower of the pools where there were approx. 5 lanes devoted to swim classes, and initially,, two lanes for the general public -one for play ( parents with babies and kids playing) and one slow lap lane where there were 3 or 4 more mature swimmers doing slow laps - walking and swimming. We joined the latter public lane. We were later asked to change our lane usage which we did to accomodate new swim class locations but then when yet another swim class started up we were asked to give our lane over and join the play lane which was both overcrowded and inappropriate. We asked for other alternatives but only the deep pool was available. There was no effort made by those on duty in that pool to try to find a suitable alternative. We had to leave as did at least one another gentleman. This was disappointing as we thought that the main melbourne aquatic centre would offer better service and swimming options. I suggest that you consider the possibility that if the thermal pool is closed that a lane at least be made available in the area that most closely offers a like alternative. Likewise options should be made clear on entry so those with ambulatory difficulties don’t to continually wander from place to place looking for suitable swimming options. I hope that this feedback will inform future decisions on lane allocations and targeted service.

very good facilities even if though somewhat pricy. The only issues i have is that the cafe closes too early for those of us who prefer evening sessions and am not impressed that to hire a locker one has to input the CVV number from your credit card??? why ??? I refuse to input such private data in a public facility like this..
