I enjoyed standing for over an hour. It was a heap of fun! It was nice and hot there as well, the tang of all the other people's body odor really set the atmosphere, It's nice to see that the government employs staff with "special needs". Either that or they choose to be slow and incompatant. Anyway I recommend visiting if your looking to strip yourself of any self worth and respect you may still hold on to.

Friendly, helpful staff. Outdated process in which they manually enter all the details on your forms and stuff. This process needs to be streamlined as it is hard enough for people working a 9-5 to get in there, the only option is to turn up before 8.30 and hope you are at the front of the queue

Went to Medicare Bourke St CBD for the first time with my partner (as we recently received our PR) as we were planning to submit our already filled out documents to apply for medicare, was greeted by a friendly staff early in the morning. A big commotion was going on between a senior staff and a customer as he was upset over the lack of transparency of number queue for customers in line. Heard a few staff muttered under their breaths regarding the customer. None the matter, waited two and a half hours for our turn to be served only to be greeted by a staff who spoke to me sarcastically and dressed very unkempt (shirt half tucked). After handing him my documents with passport which were already filled out he proceeded to shake them out of the plastic folder with one hand (as if he was trying to avoid touching it), avoided eye contact with me the whole time. Would very much recommend people who are applying for their medicare for the first time not to visit Medicare Bourke St due to the hostile environment/lack of professional service

The staff here are obviously a tight knit group of people who enjoy each other's company, they have a lot of conversations and jokes with each other and it makes you wonder if they are here for work or they are here just to hang out with friends. Quality of service is very poor, but you wouldn't go here if you don't have to. So I really hope Medicare would invest in improving their online capabilities so we can stop coming here in person.

We had to wait 3.5 hours to get to speak to someone. Everyone who wokrked here moved super slow and it looked like they went for a break every 20 minutes. Still friendly through but would recommend at all
