The absolute worst city council in Victoria I work for emergency services and tried to explain I was stuck on a 1 hr call to the ambulance and literally Couldn’t move it until after the call. They said it’s my responsibility, excuse me? Again I told them more recently that I did in fact move my car and that the fine shouldn’t have been issued. Again they said it’s my responsibility. Why do you have a request review if you don’t even acknowledge people’s reason? Lol
Cannot go less star than this as per google. Fine machine, i live in this council and still end up paying fine a month. Its part of our budget now.
After going through the process of going back and forth with the council about why our car permits were taking so long to arrive, we finally recieved them after getting them reprinted because they had lost them. I literally put my new permit around my rearview mirror in plain site for anyone walking past my car and that same day I had a fine for saying I was parked in a permit zone without a permit on my car. What is going on with the city of shittington and their frustratingly incompitent parking inspectors. Very Dissapointed !
Received a fine after I sold my vehicle, I appealed as by standard procedure and provided the rwc and transfer of sale documents together with the driver license details from the buyer and it has been refused? They want me to pay a fine of someone else? This council is full money making machine, next step court, they surely have money and time to waste!
i had a fine on chapel street while i was dropping off some food in a loading zone area for the business . 10 minutes : $183,00 . no comment . really no comment .what do you expecting !?! that i'm going to leave window and door open so people could might steal things in my car ?!?! i will definitely make an appear. this is unfair and taking off from who like me try really hard run a business on chapel street .
While I've never received an infringement personally and while I understand the need to keep parking free for residents and parking spaces turning over, I am unconvinced this LGA’s council has done any where near enough to educate and provide compliance aids by way of adequate signage and warnings and relies on trapping the unsuspecting in order to generate a revenue stream. Fines should only be used _behind_ proper and adequate public education/advisory to encourage people to do the right thing, and never relied upon as a steady revenue stream. Pretty disappointing and disgusting and actually erodes respect for authority in the long run fostering and accelerating an “us” public and “them” mentality. I would kindly implore that this council reconsider it’s approach.
Someone needs to investigate this council and it’s inspectors. Judging by the overwhelming amount of negative reviews and the census that they use unreasonable tactics, it wouldn’t be surprising if the inspectors themselves were apart of the racket. Working at a job sight with already limited parking we’ve been constantly harassed by them, and have received countless fines over the span of many months. They simply don’t listen to reason and when confronted they are compassionless footmen who’s pockets get filled with every ticket
Was picking up a ordered package. Counted 2 minutes in a truck zone I see them at my car. I plead with the officer I'll move my car... there's NO PARKING ANYWHERE. "Nothing I can do I'm printing the ticket" they even fined a car that belonged to the truck industry for parking there too. Other guy came same time as me with hazard lights on. They'd rather me block traffic waiting for people to go than let someone run in and out of a venue. Revenue raising vultures who couldn't care less for the stores the parking is feeding customers. Vote for a better council people
No free parking expensive fines everywhere
I am serious considering to stop my working service in Stonnigton council areas because of the terrible parking fine system. Parking in the council areas becomes a huge trauma. So I've rejected to take all of new job offers from the area. I want to make me not to go there for working or other reasons ASAP.
