Minimum one hour wait to claim Medicare rebate, then to be faced with a very severe woman who appeared to be angry. Not worth going through such degrading treatment for a minimum amount $ - then to get a parking ticket on top of everything because it is only one hour parking. I truly believe the staff require training regarding ethical and professional behaviour and plain old good manners. There doesn't seem to any system, you see people sauntering around with totally bored and indifferent demeanours, then when you finally get your name called, you are treated with total disrespect. So disappointing that such an important service is reduced to this. Also - It's not a good look for the staff to be out in the side lane smoking.
Student on Youth Allownce, waiting for forms to be processed to claim Independent rate. I was a day late reporting income, which I shouldn't have been doing in the first place. My payment is usually on a Friday, but now I have to wait until Monday and was told that no one could do anything to help. Bloody ridiculous. How are we meant to live on the bare minimum? Especially when we pay for their mistakes.
Not the friendliest place,, NO parking and too many staff standing around talking but not serving the public???

Typical long wait. Just to hand in one form is a hassle. Use to be able to get it stamped and off you go. Ridiculous.

Never had a good experience at centrelink. This time I took my son, a student needing a replacement card. He had to take a seat and wait for something simple enough to be done in a minute at the counter.
Girl at the counter was so rude with everyone. She’s got attitude problem. No one deserves to be treated like that. If you can’t solve the problem then at least be polite.
The security guard was the most pleasant person there. The person we spoke to could barely be understood behind the mask and had a real attitude. Was quite disgusted that we actually pay wages to someone like this.
Well, it's the only way to get some sort of income when your unemployed or unable to work. Anyway, this Centrelink office is set out better than the old one in Launceston... Staff are friendly too, never had a issue when going to the local Centrelink office.
