Spent an hour and 24 minutes waiting to get through to someone on the phone and when I was finally picked up they cut me off (not an unusual thing to happen). When you go in they treat you like trash without knowing your circumstances, assuming everyone is unemployed and being doubtful when you say you're not. Centerlink is great as it can help support you as you look for more work or when you are unable to, but the staff and systems seem designed to make you feel like the biggest piece of trash that ever set foot in the place.

Terrible how they treat you. Was talked to like utter trash for asking a question. They wonder why so many people abuse them. They need to teach their staff to have a good attitude and not act like they're above you.

Sick of getting people that work there that treat u like lowest of the low and don't care , but sometimes not always you get a nice caring person that will take time to listen and try to help. Or ur sitting in there for long periods of time cause there is hardly any one there or they are walking around with a cup of coffee or tea talking to one another. Why the hell is there so many desks in the 1st place then? But what I'm most disgusted is waiting on the phone from 5 minutes to some times 1 to 2 hours. Its not on. And they wonder why people complane or get angry.

Waited for 50 minutes for my name to be called then was told that i had to wait for another 30 minutes until there was medicare staff available. I was really disappointed and frustrated. Although the staff were very apologetic and appreciated that i waited for a long time.

I keep being told what I should be doing before asking for the reason for the engagement, then getting penalised trying to negotiate the fud. Seriously this government department needs a Royal Commission into the systemic abuse of it's clients.
