The pros: Nicely decorated office and comfy couches. The cons: As an insurance company the system used for calculating and collecting premiums was a complete mess. Still it is no worries for them as long as they can charge extra without the policyholders' knowledge to cover their "loss". Well, that happened to some of us two weeks ago and at least they have reimbursed that amount. But have they really fixed up their system? No. Check your payment receipt from last year and it shows the premium for the same product has gone up by 20% this year. Twenty percent with increase in benefits covered virtually nil. Been with Medibank for more than 5 years I have never seen such a crazy jump in premium, as if the jumps in previous years weren't crazy enough already. When asked if the price looked reasonable at all the manager doesn't even look like she cares. Customer service also needs to step up their game.

I'm writing this about what I saw and heard when I was waiting in the queue for my claim. Being a customer I actually feel sorry for the people who are working in the store. And I've quickly read some of the reviews here. Honestly I do think you may firstly comment on yourself before leaving your reviews. A couple days ago I was there for my claim and it was a busy afternoon, and there were some people a head of me awaiting to be served. It was as usual as any busy days until I was close enough to hear the conversation between a female customer and the young lady working in the front desk. The customer asked the young lady "Do you speak English?"The young lady was quite calm and said "Yes of course how can I help?" Literally I couldn't believe what I heard in the next! The customer then said "Great! seems like you do speak good English ew.. where are you from, Korea?...blah blah blah...about her policy and sth.. " can you put me through to someone who speaks good English too? I was totally shocked and embarrassed. As a multi-cultural society here in Chatswood, it is extremely rude and racism especially when the young lady was there being really helpful and patient! And most importantly they do SPEAK ENGLISH! After the female customer it was a mid-age guy's turn, and AGIAN I JUST CAN NOT BELIEVE IT! The young lady asked how can I help you sir? He said about his payment.....blah blah blah...and the young lady asked "Can I have a quick look at your membership card? " The guy said "why do you need my card? just find it by my name... The young lady answered " I'd like to double check if everything's correct before I put you through"...The guy turned to a bit angry at her and said "just do what I told you".... I was like...oh.. well is it a secret on your membership that you have to hide it from others? Or you're just there for a fight....and I just do not understand that we got the best sunshine and beaches in the world...and you are lucky enough to live in such a beautiful environment, so why being such cold and evil at heart...just as simple as a decent talk and you just can't do it! What is going on guys! They're just doing their jobs and help us out with our problems, they don't have to be bullied like that! This is what I saw and heard while I was in the line for about 15 mins...image...how many rude people they will have to deal with everyday if it's like that! Again I feel embarrassed for your rudeness!!!

The girl in the front desk is friendly. I am a Oversea studetent health cover holder, so an other guy serviced me. It might be clear that I am not use Medibanck in the future since i asked a clearence letter or you call that certificate . however,be friendly is still essenial for service department . Furture , who knows? i spend a lot of time with my Korean friends, that is why i can identify his original nationality .

This is the worst experience i ever had in my time I have been with this medibank for 4 years The chatswood store leader name wendy She said can't help for my problem and she is very rude behaviour said on my face get out I can't help. She doesn't have customer service skills . Not recommended to any one . Today im going to cancel the membership. Very low customers services skill needs to improve the customer service
