Average experience at this location some of the fries tasted hard and old and the burger is tiny compared to other fast food chains.
This McDonald’s was absolutely filthy and disgusting. Not only were staff inattentive to people, their toilets were locked with signs saying we had to show receipt proof of a McDonald’s purchase at that store so that we could use the bathroom. A little ridiculous if you ask me, people shouldn’t have to ask permission and show proof of purchase to go to the bathroom. Once staff unlocked the door, we entered and found an absolute mess and faeces on the toilet seat. To say we were disgusted is an understatement. It’s clear that staff don’t clean their toilets regularly enough or at all because they had no idea about the putrid state their bathroom was in. Absolutely revolting.
Fries weren't fresh, in hindsight I should have ask for replacement the tables were dirty with food leftover on them. It's not asnthough they were busy, it was 1 am and I was the only customer. So no excuse. Pull your finger out staff members. I know you had standing around to do, but hey, multi task.
The food was appalling and the service lady Gemma was so rude and had Attitude for no reason. I was just trying to enjoy a light meal on a budget But she had to ruin my day and make me go home and cry. You just lost a Frequent customer. Reconsider hiring young qualified staff before you advertise this place it is rude and so disrespectful to be treated as a patron. I’ve had enough of getting shamed as an elderly woman, She was young and she was working on front counter and I’m sick and tired of being discriminated against because I’m black. I’m here every second day yet there’s Still discrimination I hope you guys learn from this experience and change feel the better and please for the love of God improve this customer service.
I recently visited McDonald’s Hawthorn East after a long journey, hoping to take a quick break and grab a snack. Unfortunately, I was in urgent need of using the restroom first. However, when I requested to use the facilities, I was told I had to purchase something before being allowed access.nnWhile I understand the policy to ensure paying customers can use the facilities, it’s important for restaurants like McDonald's to consider real-life situations where customers may be in urgent need, especially after traveling a long way. It would have been much appreciated if the staff showed more understanding in this case, especially for loyal customers. I’ve always enjoyed the food at McDonald’s, but this experience left me feeling disappointed.nnIn such situations, I believe it would be more customer-friendly to allow restroom access in urgent cases, with the option to purchase food afterward. It’s all about creating a welcoming environment, particularly for those of us who are regulars and are often on the go.
