Vaporetto is a new Venetian Bar & Eatery in Hawthorn, Melbourne. Located beneath the Lido Cinema complex, trading 7 days.

Story

Kim Coronica and Greg Feck, owners of Crabapple Kitchen, along with David Wickwar bring you Hawthorn's very own Venetian Bar & Eatery. Vaporetto or "Little Steamer" as it translates to in English, are Italian water taxis which service the canals and islands of Venice. Join us as we transport you to this beguiling city to discover the food, wine and cocktails of the Veneto region.

The Bar and Eatery is open 7 nights a week from from 5pm and all day from 12 noon on Friday - Sunday.

Had such a great dinner at Vaporetto Bar & Eatery today!nnA special shoutout to Mark, who looked after us all night. He was so friendly, welcoming, and attentive from the moment we walked in. He checked in at the right times, made sure we had everything we needed, and really made us feel looked after without being over the top.nnThe food was amazing and the atmosphere was great, but honestly, Mark’s service made the whole experience even better.nnI hope the owners see this because staff like Mark are a big reason people come back. Thank you for making our dinner so enjoyable.nnWe’ll definitely be back.
This is one of those restaurants that always feels like coming home. The atmosphere is lively and relaxed, the portions are generous, and the food never disappoints. The seasonal black truffle mafaldine was incredible, the wavy pasta held onto the rich truffle and cheese sauce so well. We also couldn’t get enough of the duck liver pâté with raisin toast and ended up ordering extra bread just to finish every last bite. Can’t wait to come back.
Had an incredible evening at vaporetto. The food was simply divine. Cooked in open kitchen so you could just see the attention to detail and care the incredible chefs put into each meal. The service was also incredible, everyone was so friendly and accomodating. Can’t wait to come back!!!
We celebrated my birthday here today, and it was such a wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive, which made us feel so special and genuinely touched. Most importantly, the food was absolutely delicious. We were already talking about when to come back on our way home. Highly recommend this place—we’ll definitely be back!
Vaporetto is quickly becoming my favourite restaurant. The food was amazing! The Linguine Busara stood out with generous seafood, and the squid ink pasta was cooked to the perfect texture.nnWe also shared the Bistecca, which was absolutely delicious.nnLoved the vibe too — the open kitchen lets you see all the action, which makes the experience even better. The staff were so friendly and welcoming!
