Fantastic chill pub lunch in a quiet street near brunswick Street. Both the steak and schnitzel were excellent. Great quality and tender. Friendly staff. A banging menu pub clearly executed by a skilled chef. The bean side and chips was super tasty too. Melbourne at its best. Will be back for sure.
This pub is EXCEPTIONAL! We came here because it was one of the few places open late and accepting dogs to tag along. Not only was our dog accepted at the outside seating, he was actual let inside the pub - where we had to go to be served food. And the food turned out to be exceptionally good. Fresh oysters, duck and salmon were all top notch. Add the friendly service and the great vibe with friendly guests - the perfect place for a late dinner - not only when you want to take your dog along.
Another gem in the pub scene,nMy partner and I shared a great meal with excellent service that made a very enjoyable experience.nThe lay back environment gives a relaxing tone, washing it all down with a cold Carlton.nA popular local Fitzroy venue that needs a visit.
MOL has become a weekly afternoon ritual for oysters and a crisp glass of white wine but the other night I went for dinner and tried the Kangaroo and really enjoyed it. The venue is cozy and old and cool. It’s as Fitzroy as it gets.
A dog friendly bar downstairs. The food is good but the steak is a bit too pepperish. Would be nice if we can have the sauce on the side.
