Absolutely love Marquis of Lorne.nnThe steak is absolutely phenomenal and cooked to perfection. I particularly enjoy it with the roast potatoes and side salad. It is the perfect spot for a pub feed with an ambient atmosphere.nnThe Marquis of Lorne has seen my relationship go from first date to celebrating every year at where it all began. Every anniversary this place gets better and better.
Minding a small social dog, wind blowing outside but welcome in the entrance corner for Friday lunch. Great food excellent version of chicken schnitzel, nice wine choice. Great chance to catch up with my niece before heading back to Cambodia. Thanks Team was 12 June
We had a very nice pub meal here. The dining room upstairs is a welcoming space with an open kitchen. Good acoustics made for a pleasant meal, even though the restaurant was busy. I recommend booking if possible as it is popular. Service was efficient and the staff seemed happy to be there. The menu is a good mix of pub favourites done well, catering to vegans, vegetarians, and meat-eaters alike.
5 stars for foods and the ambiance. We enjoyed our luch very much and will definitely visit again.
Booked a big group table in the dining area for my birthday. Even though my friends dropped in gradually, the staff were incredibly attentive whenever new people arrived at the table and made sure to check in frequently to make sure they had all our food orders. Despite the ground floor being quite packed, the dining room had a fantastic atmosphere for a sit-down dinner and was the perfect mix of quiet so we could hear each other and buzzing with energy. Food and wine options were great and accomodated my gluten free dietary requirements. Highly recommend if you're looking for a pub.
