I came this morning to write my resume, there are several little tables and chairs to work and read. They also have got computers, jigsaws and board games. I made a card of the library before leaving. I recommend this library, the staff is very friendly and helpful

This was my first visit and I was greeted by a lovely gentleman at the front door. I came in to do some private work on my laptop and set myself up at an open station. I found the first place with a power point & desk. A staff member came over and put a reserved sign on the table I was at, but said I could stay and continue my work. I set my laptop up & started my work, and in less than 5 minutes another lady came over and told me the area was reserved. I explained that another staff member put it there when I was already here and I just wanted to finish my work. She then told me my cord couldn't obstruct a pathway so I moved the table over so there was no longer an obstruction. The lady came back and said I still had to move with her reason being that I was obstructing the books behind me in the History section however only one person is allowed in the area at a time?! Anyway I came here as I just wanted to complete something on my computer in peace for 30 minutes, but the unfortunate run-in with the staff member, I told her I needed my screen privacy, & she told me I still had to move, so I said I would just pack up and leave, and then she walked away. With no other valid option provided to complete my work, I rushed to complete the sentence I was on, and was about to pack up and leave, never to return, when a lovely staff member came up and offered me a space with privacy which is all I was after. I appreciate the lovely lady with the brown hair in a bob finding a solution for me, as I was on my way out with a 2 star review and she has saved the day! 1 star off still because of the staff member with grey hair in a bob that made to feel like I wasn't welcome, and an inconvenience to her. I was about have a little cry in my car about how I was treated, but now I feel welcome, thank you.

A lovely way to spend an afternoon. The staff are all friendly and helpful, the range of books and other items are plentiful and all well-organised

The library does its best...old dated building But good selection and staff helpful. Wish, for them  they were getting new premises in Councils new tower...a shame they are not

Good, librarians friendly and helpful, need more computers though and be able to utilise them for more than 30mins or an hour

2 times I've gone and had bad experiences,  first time was a couple of weeks ago I needed to fill out a job application and scan it back but  I forgot to get a pen, I asked for one and they Fiona  tried giving me a pencil and you can't fill out applications  with a pencil it's common sense, and the second time was today I planned in going to the library  for a couple hours to smash out my aassessments that are overdue but the computers only let you log on for 30 minutes how is this amount of time good for people that are studying...like how do you think a 30 minute time  limit is going to make a student feel when they are already under so much pressure? I use to go to the library everyday untill I moved out of walking distance and since I'll stopped going there everything is just gone down hill in the past 3-4 years

Easy to join up, staff friendly and helpful. Nice quiet place to get out of the heat. Can book computers for 30 min which have Ancestry access.
