First time visiting Marion's wine bar. Service was fantastic, the team were aware of our special occasion and a number of the staff congratulated us, they even threw in a couple of free glasses of bubbles. Food was delicious and lived up to our expectations, the mussels were a real stand out and we loved the pistachio & Zucchini pasta too. Definitely not the cheapest establishment but they certainly provide a high level of service with high quality food. Extensive wine list too, I won't drive next time I visit!
Really enjoyed our experience at Marion. Great selection of wines available from any price point you could want, cocktails were designed very well and really could not be faulted. The zucchini flowers were very tasty and our favourite dishes from the night was definitely the pork and the whole flounder from the mains. The roast chicken was cooked to perfection as even the breast meat was still very juicy and well seasoned. Very hard not to like an evening out at Marion.
Good food with great service. We ordered primarily the seafood dishes and everything tasted fresh. The flatbread was fluffy and light - I definitely could've eaten more. The snapper was perfectly cooked with great flavours. Only con I have is that it seemed like a lot of the dishes got a last minute spritz of salt on top which at times a bit too much both in terms of flavour and the occasional gritty texture
Interesting menu - everything was perfectly balanced and delicious. Good selection of wines, though their list needed updating to reflect stock. What really makes this place is the brilliant service - nothing was too much trouble and the team really made our evening special.
Food was not bad, but none of the dishes stood out for me. Also had chicken and steak, but no pics of that. Service was good, staff were tentative and were helpful in selecting the dishes and wines. Nice cosy atmosphere at night. Food: 3.5/5 Service: 4.5/5 Atmosphere: 4.5/5
This is one of our best dinner for our trip to Melbourne. Every dish was outstanding especially the flounder and mussels. Zucchini flowers was unique too. Kiwi Luna Pinor Noir paired very well with all our dishes. Delectable and spectacular meal, love every dish which is of very good value. Wil be back again. Thanks Marion for a wonderful evening.
Great Ambience and Fantastic Food! My husband and I went to Marion for our anniversary and loved the service and food. We would highly recommend the bread and steak! If you’re feeling hangry I would recommend two entrees, two mains and a side for two people. We left feeling very full and happy with our experience. I will be dining here again when I come back to Melbourne!
Had a thoroughly enjoyable experience for our first time at Marion. Gorgeous setting in the city end of Gertrude, excellent food whole flounder was an absolute highlight & to die for, fabulous drinks even the non alc beer was above standard & the dirty gin martini was best ive ever had. Service friendly & faultless. Would 100% return. Great place for locals & visitors to Melbourne.
The staff were exceptional, especially our main waiter! Looking forward to coming back again - was super memorable and lovely. The set menu was delicious and great value for money
I had an amazing time at Marion Wine Bar! The food, the service, and the ambiance were all truly wonderful. Such a glorious place to eat! Do not sleep on the bread holy hell
