We had an early Mother’s Day here on Sunday lunchtime. To my surprise and delight, I was offered a choice of not 2 pre-set tables but 3 which was a nice touch. We were treated incredibly well with excellent service and a friendly and engaging manner from the owner of the business! The food was delicious. We all had pierogi then followed by the pork loin which was tender. For me my favourite was the dessert which was decadent. Highly rate it and would definitely return.
Lovely little spot. Great service. Reasonable price for chefs selection for dinner. Unfortunately the food was a little bit off for us. Like the borscht was really vinegary. Like so much so it made us cough. The pierogi was nice in texture, but we couldn't taste any cheese and there was no noticible seasoning. The pork dish was nice as well but again lacked seasoning. The veal shin was my fave dish and reminded me most of what my baba used to cook. The honey layer cake was also delicious. I'm looking for forward to heading back one day soon and hopefully the chef will have tweaked the dishes to make bring them up to match everything else that is awesome about this little spot.
This is a truely great eatery - friendly and helpful staff, a great wine list and amazing food - what is there not to like. The dishes work well as share plates, are seriously delicious and visually appealing. The desserts are worth saving some room for.
Definitely my current favourite wine bar in Melbourne. The natural wine list is spot on, the snacks are spot on get the pierogi and the fried pickles the service is friendly & genuinely welcoming, the old soul/funk/blues music is 10/10. Love love love. Perfect for all the occasions - dates, mates, etc.
Nice little place, food was very good - much better than in the real Odessa in the Ukraine! Top beer and wine list. Menu could be a little more descriptive, specially as a lot of the dishes aren't that well known. Also, pickled cashews are my new favourite thing!
Had a great night sitting at the bar tonight. We were fortunate to be greeted and seated by Stefan and looked after by Sofia. The food was beautifully presented and tasted even better. Wine offering is comprenshesive and even though we only had two glasses each, we can’t wait to come back very soon and work our way through the list. If your looking for a relaxed, well appointed wine bar that has great food to boot this is for you! Perfect addition to Brunswick Street! Tell your friends! Or better yet, take them there yourself! Can’t wait to return again very soon!
Great environment! Nice little wine menu, good & various choices, good food from Eastern Europe. The service is of good quality and the waiters are nice. Definitely a nice place to come with friends or as a couple!
I took my partner Little Odessa on a Sunday night and it was absolutely magical! The staff were absolutely awesome and made it extra special for my partner as it was her birthday. The food is so yum and different, each dish they served up was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend!!! Thanks Little Odessa.
I was hoping to introduce my friends to Eastern European cuisine, but it had nothing to do with it apart from a couple of dishes. Highly overpriced $7 for 3 pierogi. The Borsch was beyond average. Anyway, $90 later we left hungry. It is good for those who don't mind spending money in a restaurant in a good location and have no idea of what authentic food really tastes like.
The wine and decor was good but the food was horrible. Borsch was flavourless, pierogi has cubed par cooked potato in them, portion sizes were all fine dining but didn’t pack any punch. Was really looking forward to this place but was hugely disappointed.
