Lovely surprise. A couple of hick ups in relation to the room, which have been addressed right away by the lovely relief manager!! Definitely value for money. Wish the lights outside the rooms would go off. However, understand that this is a safety feature. Just be aware that the rooms are fairly light at night.
As an experienced motel manager myself I am pretty fussy where we stay, which is why we picked this motelnnI can always see through the previous poor reviews from guests who either haven't read the listing properly or choose to not follow motel policies at check in or common sense expectations in the room, makes me wonder how they live in their own home, then proceed to leave a bad review in retaliation!nnOf course I ignored these reviews and booked anyway.nnAbsolutely highly recommended as per previous good reviews, clean, happy and mainly because of the cheerful welcome from Bernie just what a manager should be The room has the comfiest king bed and we had the best night's sleep.
My review for father son, on arrival we found reception very friendly, had an unexpected but welcome upgrade, rooms were clean linen clean and matrrsses comfortable, parking undercover although narrow for larger cars. Stayed one night and both well rested and would have no problems recommending our stay here.
Best motel in mackay. have stayed here twice now and both times have been amazing. The host is so welcoming, she is a really nice lady and is more than willing to go above and beyond to help you out with anything you may need. my most recent time staying here my room was upgraded free of charge. The rooms are very clean, beds are incredibly soft and overall a really comfortable stay. would recommend to anyone!
We enjoyed our stay at the Marco polo. It was well situated. The room was comfy, bed soft. The host was so helpful, and I was happy for the guest laundry.nOvernight, there were some possums on the roof, and the host was there in the morning with a plan to find them better accommodation for the next night nWe would definitely stay again. Thanks so much for having us.
