Fantastic experience staying here! Staff were awesome! All facilities you need gym pool laundry room! The pantry sells the most delicious lunch food and cakes!! We had a cooker/hob microwave kettle toaster and iron in our room! Pans and cutlery all provided by reception! Fish tacos at the JD pool restaurant are amazing!

I will never stay here again. Fro. The first the room I booked and paid for was not made available to me, i was given a small room which was not very clean. Hairs on the floor in the bathroom, litter under the chairs, the bottom sheet on the bed only covered 3/4 of the mattress and even asking for a sheet to fit the bed it never came. Evidently the manager was coming to the room but never did, too bad. After a couple of days i was upgraded to a better and bigger room like the one i should gave had in the first place. The aircon did not work, asked for service, waited, no-one could help as maintenance were not there on weekends. Luckily i had a couple of batteries and replaced the dead ones in the remote and the thing worked ..... obviously not part of the service. The carpets are old and fraying, room was not serviced albeit i was only there ten days. Elevators rarely worked and only twice were they both working together. Of all the staff there were three who were helpful, courteous and you friendly. Be careful if staying there, ensure you take a photo of the numerous bottles in the fridge and the items on the tray .... i was charged for item not originally there but refused to pay for what i did not have. I was given discounted parking as i was there for a while however i still had to pay for every day even though three days did not park there. All in all for a so called 5 star rating it was very disappointing. There were many disgruntled clients staying whilst i was there with many complaints and faults. Not a happy environment and have no intention of revisiting or recommending. Cheers

I received a great deal at Mantra and found it to be top value, was relieved to find that most of the issues I'd read about in other reviews were relatively minor and didn't detract from the overall quality of my stay. Room size compared to many City Hotels was excellent, kitchenette worked well and and allowed me to prepare my own meals, a real bonus for my 5 day stay. Facilities and staff were both good, great view from Room 643S, location and access to City / MCG via train (Bell Station) and Tram (86 direct to Docklands) was simple. Apart from a few cosmetic issues that come with an older facility, I found Mantra Bell City to be the perfect base for a solo traveler looking to explore Melbourne, would stay again and recommend.

Service was abysmal. They flag your accommodation if you don't book direct (considering I work for a national company it is far more convenient to organize the entirety of a trip through a corporate travel planner). Thus, I have not received a room clean in the 11 days I have stayed with Mantra Bell City. When I enquired about the estimated cleaning time, I had to hold the line for approximately 10-15 minutes. Parking fee is absurd, might as well park down a side street after finishing a day at work to negate their fee. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and will be informing my employer/employees along with the subsidiary companies to never stay at this location. I will also ask them to potentially reconsider staying at any Mantra affiliated resort in the future as I would assume it is an implicit policy to treat third party bookings with less respect.

Room wasn't clean plus no room service was carried out even had please clean room sign on the door handle, lucky we had extra towels, definitely not using mantra bell city again
