Food was cold - they wouldn't alter any item within a burger unless a member of my group suffered from an intolerance or had religious beliefs; as it was "too hard" for the chef to not put an item in the burger. However the 12 chips on my plate with my cold parmigiana were good! Shame as this once used to be an awesome place :
Floor staff were polite and atmosphere was clean/bright enough, however; took over 1.5hrs to get our food, drink orders were constantly mixed up and tasted strange taps need cleaning. Food was EXTREMELY disappointing, not as described. Wait staff had no idea our food had been delayed even though we were a large obvious group of 20+. Will not be coming back.
Ordered a steak here and haven't been able to eat steak since. It was covered in pepper wasn't listed on the menu and once I ate a piece that I had scraped the pepper off I realised it was there to cover the fact the meat was either off or very very unfresh. Vegetables were way over seasoned and burnt your throat they had so much salt in them. Chips were the best thing I had on my plate, crunchy and seasoned well.. I must say that I was very happy with customer service and the manager on the day dealt with my issue very well once I had complained. Unfortunately I still would definitely not recommend this resturaunt as I fear that the produce used is not fresh at all.
Well I loved Mambo once and now the menu is poor quality and they don't offer vegetables with meals just chips and slaw. Obviously owners are saving a buck at our expense. Staff are always nice but the food is boring and grungy. Perhaps that was the idea. Won't be having Friday catch ups there anymore as I'd rather give my money to people who care about their patrons dining experience.
This place used to be quite alright... but something has changed for the worse. Waited over 45 mins for meals, parmas were burnt on the bottom and I sent the carbonara back because it was inedible and there was a hair in it. Refused to pay. Staff were polite enough. No soap in the bathroom. Menu is simply parmas and burgers - very boring. Things have gone down hill for Mambos. Will not be returning. With the amount of changeover at this place, the quality could pick up in the future.
Possibly the worst effort I have ever seen from staff. The food never arrived. The waiters were hard to wave down and even harder to place an order with. In the end we had to leave without our food to get back to work. This place is simply not worth the effort and wait.
The last twice we have been here the kitchen has totally stuffed up our meals. Meals arrive & they are not as described on the Menu. Sauce or gravy has been different. You ask a wait staff a question about the food & they can't answer. They never know anything. It seems no one has a clue.
If only there was a zero star option for rating.. because Mambos would have nailed it!!! We only had to wait an hour for our luke warm food was served and to make it worse the chef "dropped" one of the meals. "But dont worry, we will have another one ready for you in 2 minutes" makes you wonder why everything else took a hour.
the only good thing going for this place is the look! the food was below average by a long way. sent food back it was that burnt. the napoli sauce was horrible and inedible and the pasta was drowning in it. never ever going there again. be aware and not disappointed
An over 25's family night would be great. Went in for dinner and the environment was incredibly loud due to all the teens. We walked out. Would be great to go with the family. Not suitable for a family at all. It's a hang out for the teens where they're just completely boisterous and obnoxious.
