The service here is great, very friendly, quick and attentive. A little too quick on the clean-up however as a staff member was a bit enthusiastic with the ammonia based spray used on the table next to me and I got a bit of drift over my breakfast. I'd say the floors could do with a good clean too as there were a few flies about as well as a slight smell. The food was well cooked, bacon crispy and the waffles weren't too doughy or heavy. Chicken was nice with a light coating but a little dry. Coffee and apple juice were good too. Would have liked a less sweet offering as well that included more savoury elements, or perhaps the maple syrup on the side instead of already over the waffles.
If you are after comfort food - say burgers, wings , shakes, curly fries - then Mama Brown should be at the top of your list. This is my go to place for a cheat meal. Be sure to Walk-in hungry and you will walk out full and satisfied. Quirky ambience, friendly staff and Outstanding food. The spicy wings served here is definitely one of the best in NZ. Highly recommended this place.
Our food was cooked well and we had a good night. Friendly and helpful staff. I didnt feel as if this place was a restaurant because it had a mucky pub atmosphere and the seating was pretty crude Must be significance to the plane seats - hopefully not 9/11, bumping elbows isn't ideal whilst eating dinner. First time I've ever seen chicken with fruit tomato in my life. Very expensive place to eat. I'll be back to get a rib dish on a two for one though!
Lovely atmosphere, cool interior and great service. We 3 friends and I went for the Wednesday 2 for 1 deal, and had a great time. The food portions are huge, and absolutely delicious. We shared 2 plates between 4 of us as well as 2 milkshakes, and the waitress was more than happy to split both the food and milkshakes in half, which was very much appreciated. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and overall amazing experience. We even split the bill between 4 of us and it worked out to $17.25 per person, which we thought was great value for what we had. Make sure to follow these guys on their socials to keep up with all the latest deals. Absolutely great place, love it Will 100% be coming again.
Visited this evening en route to the airport, welcoming staff and warm atmosphere. Quick turn around with delivery of food and we were able to utilise our student discounts also which was handy! Asian female staff member was bomb! Thanks so much girl! Sitting at the airport eating our food, and although it's still good it would have been even better! Highly recommend Mama Brown's
Lovely customer service. Friendly staff always greeted with a smile. Food was wonderful. The milkshakes are to die for!! I wish I could give more stars! Thank you for the wonderful experience, will definitely be coming back again soon.
This is my 3rd time , and not surprised is another great experience in Mama Brown. We ordered the Pork Ribs and Waffle Boy. All the food are nice and the portions are pretty big. Is worth to have a fry in Mama Brown. And because is my Birthday so I’m lucky to have a FREE MEAL Mama Brown Birthday Treat Event
24/02/2023 arrived at 15:00, I actually booked online for 14:45 for x3 ppl.. Seen advert about Mama Brown Birthday Special through social media and also other times throughout the year. It was our first time trying this restaurant. We ordered from the Mains menu a Waffle Boy, Chicken & Waffle and Chicken Wings, chips, drinks and a Snickers Milkshake with Soy the straw could be bigger like a smoothie straw as the bits got stuck in the metal straw First time trying waffle with fried chicken and/or bacon, cheese, salsa, and maple sauce, it's different sweet savoury flavours not something we would eat everyday, Chicken Wings could've been crispier with less sauce. Atmosphere felt like it was for students, decor a bit quirky, customer service was great. The only thing i was worried about was the cleanliness of the restaurant the amount of flies and sand flies hanging around, tables were being wiped with a wet cloth and no detergent, there is also a high step up into the restaurant with no hazard strip, for these reasons I have given a 3-Star rating.
Pretty decent food served here and is a solid for quality. Would like to Poe Boys on the menu, the current menu still holds weight. The American Breakfast washed down with a margarita was banging!
The best place for youngsters who wants to eat a lot of good yummy food. Its just near the cuba street. The portions are quite large for chicken wings, pork ribs and even milkshakes you get very large size. Also of you follow their instagram page you can get occasional coupons every month on offers like one plus one mostly on Wednesdays.
