Food tasted good and was plentiful. The Felix Cafe is a very good rest stop for a long morning-afternoon of touring the city. We ordered from the specials menu and the staff was very helpful when we had to ask about dietary questions. Actually dodged a bullet there and didn't order something that was detrimental for me. With that in mind, I would have hoped for some dietary markings on the menu instead of asking separately for each of the items on the menu. The location is great, just at the end of Cuba Street and right by the i-site. Food is good. Definately recommend if you're on the fence.
Slow service and a bit of weird queue jumping when it's busy. But overall ok, just feels like a tired formula with. Bland food and burnt coffee. A long standing Wellington institution.
Staff is very friendly. Got a toasted bananabread which was absolutely delicious. Cappuccino was good as well. Pretty crowded but not too.
These guys are awesome. We were a bit late in the day for a meeting but provided us with great coffees and teas. Very friendly and helpful. As right in the centre of Welly its a great place to go for meetings. Handy for all the cruise ship visitors too. Thanks for going the extra mile and providing great service.
Really lovely coffee and staff, I ordered the toast and jam on the first visit and the jam was really nice but was a little disappointed as I only received 3 small pieces of toast. The 2nd time my sister and I went we ordered the corn fritters and pancakes which were both superb but very big servings of them, so if you're hungry then you'll be good.
Long wait and had to ask staff if we could order before someone came to the table. Food was okay, nothing groundbreaking. Little details seemed to be constantly missed - no lemon with my salmon bagel, stingy on the cream cheese, no offer of yoghurt or cream with the slightly undercooked apple cake, backs of chairs are greasy and need to be scrubbed, one very competent young woman cleared our table while on her break because the two young men working seemed unable to see our empty plates.
Nice outdoor seating area on the lower end of Cuba Street. A good walking distance from a lot of the shops so a good place to settle down before or after shopping. The food is good and there are good sized portions. The staff are friendly with counter and table service offered.
Had breakfast on 29th Jan 2017, coffee was great, staff were excellent, food was great, but female Asian cook was a bit rude. There is no such thing as a strange question! Overall, great place though.
Another cafe with good food. Ordered the Mexican scrambled egg with nachos. Was impressed that the nachos were not the normal ones. Looked like it was home made. Scrambled egg was good too with spices. Friends had other stuff from menu and were good too. Will definitely go back.
Handy for a quick bite in town. Couple of vegan/vegetarian options. Decent reuben. Staff were friendly and we didn't have to wait too long for food. Usually busy but not super crowded or loud which is nice
