I paid $36.31 for Char Kway Teow and Pad Thai noodles, both were very disappointing. The Char Kway Teow had only 3 small prawns, and the Pad Thai had 3 prawns, 1 thin slice of fish cake, and 2 tiny pieces of cuttlefish . The noodles were undercooked and very dry.nnFor the price, the portion and quality were poor. It feels like the food is made with a money-making mindset rather than care for customers or quality. Very dissatisfied with the experience.
Was shown to a table immediately. Given a menu and allowed time to go through the menu before ordering. Restaurant was moderately busy but food came out quickly and steaming hot which was great. Excellent flavor in the CKT.nWill be coming back to try other menu items.
The loveliest staff and the most incredible food! My family and I have been going to Kitchen Malaysian for years and years, even before they moved to their new Doncaster location, and it has always been a 10/10 restaurant.nnSome absolute standouts on the menu:n Chicken Roti Canai – the perfect crispy, flaky roti with rich, flavorful curry.n Fish Head Curry – bold, aromatic, and packed with depth.n Laksa – silky, spicy, and so comforting.n Golden Chicken Ribs – crispy, juicy, and impossible to stop eating!nnThe homemade roti is always next level—so fresh and perfectly made. Every dish here feels like it’s made with love and tradition.nnOn top of that, the staff are truly the best—so welcoming and friendly. They are always so kind to my grandma, even walking her from our table to the car, which means the world to us. Their hospitality and warmth make every visit even more special.nnThis place is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic, delicious Malaysian food. Can’t recommend it enough!
Overall a great experience we had dining here with our family over the weekend. The decor of this restaurant is very unique from the outside and spacious from the inside. Great selection of food to choose from and wow, the speed of the food being served is outstanding. The food was delicious and the price is affordable. Definitely coming back for round 2.
Update - Returned for a seafood laksa and teh tarik.nnThe laksa was fine, lacked greens.nnBut ouch, $7.50 for a teh tarik less than a cup. Probably half a mug size was steep and left me a bit burnt. It was a Sunday, and if paying by cars it'd be 7.63. Last time I buy a drink there. Ouchies. It was very good either.n---nThe food was ok. I had the Yong tau foo curry laksa. It was very boring as most of it was tofu stuffed with fish paste. Vegetable wise there was one large chilli pepper stuffed with fish paste, and some beans. It needed more vegetables to balance out the dish. Tofu, tofu, and bean curd got a bit tedious. Eggplant, a bit of Bok choy, and another veg like normal available selections at grand tofu would have helped a lot.nnThe curry tasted ok. Nothing special.nnBut the noodles were well cooked, and food was quick to be served. Waitress was fine.nnFish head laksa was good and had a lot of bones. The other noodle soup dish looked a bit bland.
