Been here more than a couple times — Golden Harvest truly lives up to the name. Their lunch specials are always our go-to: tasty, generous, and comforting in that unmistakable Hong Kong-style way. It’s the kind of spot you keep coming back to without thinking twice. A real local fave.
From the moment we looked at the restaurant we hoped that the book was better than the cover. When we entered the restaurant we could barely open the door and then had to wait for around 20 minutes before being led to a table.nWe ordered as we sat down but the waitress kept walking away from us due to a lack of communication and a very crowded space.nThe food was good but not the best for the price, however the atmosphere was questionable. The walls were dirty and had cobwebs all over, the toilets could also be cleaned and it seemed very disorganized and unsanitary.nThere were too many tables which resulted in a very crowded place and a long wait; we believe that they could focus more on quality not on quantity.nThe long wait was caused by them putting groups of two people on the tables which seated four.nAll in all a good place with good food but the service and the atmosphere should improve.nThe entrance of the restaurant could also be more attractive.
First time visiting this popular local cafe after much recommendations but was disappointed at the cleanliness of the food. The hot meals were ok but the iced HK milk tea had remnants of ginger pulp and a lemon seed in it. I didn’t bother taking a photo or making a complaint but I will certainly not be returning either.
This cha chaan teng offers pretty good value for money. The portion sizes are generous and the flavors are quite decent. I’ve been here several times and always found the food satisfying. However, the wait time to place an order can be a bit long, which takes away from the overall experience.
Highly recommend the HK style curry and Stir-fried rice noodles with Beef brisket , Green Chili Pepper And Fermented Black Bean. Big potion and reasonable price, the staffs are helpful. Wanna try their egg waffle next time.
