Having breakfast at a café isn’t something I do regularly, but since I was in Picton this morning, I figured I’d treat myself. Treat myself, I did! I stopped into the Magpie Café unsure as to what I was going to have, but knowing that that I have heard good reports from the locals about its selection and quality. One thing I did know for certain, I wanted my breakfast on a plate, and... bacon. I was craving bacon and the breakfast I got had ample and perfectly cooked, savoury bacon. The bacon, two eggs, sausage, tomato and toast were the perfect start of the day! With the addition of a cappuccino, this was as close to a faultlessly executed breakfast as was possible. Now, about the service. I’m a fairly decisive person, but this morning all I was certain of was that I wanted a breakfast with bacon on a plate. The incredibly helpful and patient lady behind the counter helped me quickly decide what I wanted and the creation of my morning meal began. It was delivered to my table outside promptly and, again, with a smile. When I needed a new serviette, one miraculously appeared without even asking. If I could give the service and food a higher score, I would! Take the time to have breakfast here. It’s a top-notch café in a town with only a few options in the morning.

Generally speaking, first visual impressions play a crucial role in one's choice on whether or not to visit any premises. Likewise, dirty windows, floors, and tables have always discouraged me from eating here.
