After reading positive reviews on Google, I booked online on 16/11/2017 through Madeeka website for a 're-style hair cut and blow dry Aud73.00' appt scheduled for 11.15 am on 17/11/2017. I was confirmed that I will be served by Sasha. On 17/11/2017, when I was driving for the hair appt, got a call around 10.55 AM from Madeeka and I was advised by the staff that Sasha cannot do my haircut as she was attending to another client and they wanted me to come at 1.30 pm for the appointment. Why was I not informed atleast one hour in advance? I was advised just 15 minutes before the scheduled appointment that it has to be postponed to 1.30 pm. I told I was willing to get my hair cut done even if I was attended by different staff. But they did not budge an inch and told they were short staffed. I  was not entirely happy with their attitude inspite of all the booking done in advance. Am I not a client as well?? So I told them it is not fair on their part and I don't want to proceed with their service. To come for this appointment I had to arrange for baby sitting service for my children and pay for it too!! In 5 minutes time, I got a call from Madeeka saying I would be attended by someone else. Wow!! All of a sudden situation changed! I was made to wait for a while after shampooing which I did not mind. I explained my hair cut requirement and thought the hair cut will be done as per my requirement and re-styled as I booked for re-styling cut. I was surprised that hair cutting took just less than 7 minutes altogether. After that another staff was asked to blow dry my hair. My hair was blow dried for 30 minutes or so which I thought took long time than necessary! I The scheduled appointment for 45 minutes became  more than a hour and half and most of the time was spent in blow drying my hair and waiting. When I  questioned why blow drying is taking so long time, I got a response that my hair was long so such a long time. I wonder whether it was done for such a long time so the staff who was cutting my hair can attend to another client? In that 30  minutes, the staff who was cutting my hair attended to another client. After 30 minutes of blow drying, she came and did a quick layering. It was not altogether a complete re-style. I do have a long hair but the hair cutting done did not impart any significant difference how it looked before and now except for few layers. To top it off when I was about to pay for the service, I was caught by surprise that it was AUD75.00 and extra AUD2.00 was surcharge for donating the client's hair to clear oil spill which I was not informed before as a courtesy. Going to Madeeka was an expensive mistake as I am still fuming with the terrible experience I had. There is no respect for client's time or for the money. Total rip off!! I felt I had better experience with places like Hairhouse Warehouse and Just cuts in the past. I will never recommend this parlour to my friends for haircuts! I would like to be offered refund for the amount I paid for the terrible experience I had. It was a complete waste of time and money down the drain.

My haircut and hair colour was perfect! Exactly what I had wanted. Staff are more than just a friendly smile. Overall experience was above and beyond.
