Hubby had fish n chips and I had the seafood basket. These were only like $14 approx so we thought they would be a smaller size. We could’ve shared one. Food was nice, service good, but unfortunately we wasted a lot. Very cheap for what you get.
Ordered local mix reef and it was a bit below expectations, fried too hard, fish was pretty bland, perhaps wrong choice even though you'd expect specials to be the best. Staff could not answer what fish was in the reef pack as well, which is somewhat strange. On a positive note the salad was the best we had in Hervey Bay, great size, good mix of veg and totally enjoyable.
Great fresh seafood from Maddigans.nnOld style service, the fish and chips were fresh and tasty and they don’t skimp on serving size.nnCredit to Maddigans for providing great takeaway the way it used to be.
Great little take away shop.. right opposite the beach. We got the 3 cod family pack and that was plenty of food for 3 pple. The crumb on the fish was the best I ever had.. nice and crunchy with a bit of flavour. The next day we came back for burgers and it was great again. The price is also very good. No real seating available but you have the beach and park just opposite.
I've always chosen your seafood because it's consistently fresh, even after moving out of town, I still come back to your shop. However, I was shocked and disappointed with the oysters I received last night. They were tiny, paper-thin, mushy, and looked fleshless—well below standard and shouldn't have even been put out for sale. They looked nothing like the top tray that convinced me to buy. I didn't select the tray myself, as I trusted the quality. I meant to ask this in a private message, but you don't have contact options like Facebook Messenger or email. Could I please get a refund for one tray or a replacement?
