Lumberjack is a nice cafe that does really good coffee with a friendly service. Breakfast menu is decent and the smashed Avo with beetroot relish is delish! Great flavour combinations and balance. They have some take away options too with treats like cookies and muffins. Outdoor and inside dining options as well. ConsistentFood: 4/5
Had an impromptu breakfast with 9 adults and 3 kids and the staff had no worries accommodating us! Beautiful courtyard area with fantastic service and food! I had the lumberjack feast with housemade sausages and my wife had the avo smash. Definitely recommend eating here!
Lumberjack is fantastic, and a deserving favourite of locals. I would give them 6 stars but they don't have fruit toast on the menu, although the awesome, friendly staff and A+ coffee more than make up for that. Highly recommend.
Have lived in Richmond for a while now and this is hands down the best cafe around. Beautiful coffee, great food and amazing friendly staff. It has a great outdoor area and delicious doggy treats according to my pup Proud to call Lumberjack “my local cafe” #3121
Best coffee in Richmond BY A COUNTRY MILE! There is a reason these guys have been here for decades - they know what they are doing so if you want great coffee, tasty snacks or a breakfast that doesn’t leave you needing a snack later this is the cafe for you!
Didn’t realise there was a 10% surcharge for weekends! I was charged $15.95 for two small slices of fruit toast and a tea. There is apparently no table service for outdoor seating, although my order was brought out. Dirty dishes were not cleared from outside tables, despite the cafe not being busy and several staff being available. I asked for extra hot water for tea, but it was luke warm.
A perfect courtyard cafe for a Monday brunch. Lovely staff. I ordered the Lumberjack Feast- sourdough was soft yet crunchy, pumpkin hummus I think was an interesting addition, and a good use of the whole mushroom. #nowastage. Well-balanced coffee...so much so that I had 2 lattes. Was by myself for most of my stay so I was able to play some chill music to add to the ambience.
This is one of Melbourne’s best barista & coffee place. Food is simple but delicate and delicious. Uniquely crafted and served. Children’s friendly and have a warm ambience for a Sunday’s breakie.

The coffee is consistently strong. If you’ve got time get breakfast. You won’t be disappointed. The breakfast menu is simple, with avo on toast that will melt your heart. All round great time. Oh!! The toilets. Standard.
