I had some mixed feelings about this place - from the street, the building looks beautiful and elegant. Step inside though, and it's like being warped into an episode of Hoarders. None of the items are organised, except for a few small cases of glassware in the second room. Everything is piled haphazardly from floor to ceiling and covered in dust and cobwebs. I'm sure there are treasures in there somewhere, but honestly, it's impossible to get a good look at anything due to the lack of space to move, the lack of lighting, and the clutter. I'm assuming a lot of the objects in the first room are also water damaged, due to the collapsing ceiling and extensive water stains on the plasterboard. For a house and objects that would have once been so beautiful, it's quite sad really. And from a business perspective, definitely a missed opportunity. There is very little in the way of labeling prices on items, making window-shopping impossible. There is absolutely no wheelchair access, and it's not a place I would take children either, due to the objects piled on the floor. I'd also suggest staying away if you happen to be asthmatic, because the dust is extremely thick. Otherwise, bring a torch, make yourself as small as possible, and be prepared for a long afternoon of playing Jenga with antiques. Perhaps you will find something exciting.
