we usually travel a few suburbs to dine-in at our favourite chinese restaurant in manly. since having a baby last year, we very rarely eat out, especially for dinner. we tried loong wah as it is now our local chinese. we really enjoyed the special fried rice! the honey chicken and the spring rolls were ok... we prefer a crispier batter for honey chicken. the downfall of our order was the sweet and sour pork. having the sauce in the bottom of the takeaway container, instead of separately, causes the batter to become very soggy in a short amount of time. we live not even 3 minute drive from restaurant. the favour was also lacking and was a thin sauce. I think we might try again for lunch specials when really craving chinese, but will wait to travel to our regular for anything else. *UPDATED REVIEW from 3 to 4 stars: we ordered takeaway again - special fried rice, honey chicken again, but this time we bought "sliced bbq pork with plum sauce" - all three dishes were nice. we will be back!

Had another great dinner this evening. We have been coming to Loong Wah for around 1996 and we always enjoy our experience. It is quaint, but the food is exceptional. Our overseas guests always remember the quality and freshness of this wonderful Chinese restaurant. Keep it up guys and we'll keep coming for another 20 years.
