My daughter and I visited for our final dinner in Brisbane after dining at Bianca, which belongs to the same group, a couple of days earlier. We were curious about Same Same’s dishes and excited to try them.nnAlthough Thai cuisine often includes spicy sauces and strong spices, my daughter and I are quite familiar with Thai food, so we were looking forward to experiencing Thai-inspired fusion dishes. We arrived about an hour after opening, and the restaurant was already very busy :0 it felt like it would have been difficult to get a table without a reservation. We reserved seats at the bar table and truly enjoyed watching the chefs cook while having our meal.nnMost of all, Kenny, who took care of our table, made our evening unforgettable. From beginning to end, he gave us thoughtful recommendations and wonderful service. He was truly professional. If this had not been our last day in Brisbane, we would definitely have returned again.nnKenny’s kindness and manners made this experience especially memorable for both my daughter and me. Of course, the food was outstanding as well.nThank you for giving us such a special and unforgettable evening.
Not just a lunch but an experience. My friend took me out to this amazing restaurant. We had the banquet, each serving I tasted was delicious. The fresh ingredients were so refreshing. The waiters were all friendly and polite. It is a clean environment and watching the chefs work was entertaining. I highly recommend this restaurant
As probably the only upscale Thai place in Brisbane, I was curious as to how they would elevate Thai cuisine and I was not disappointed. Service was excellent, the dishes were beautifully presented and the portions for the mains were quite generous. Highlight was the Lon spanner crab - full of flavour and a unique dish as well. Anyday hospitality obviously know how to create an ambiance and there was a nice vibey bar upstairs.
Coming back into Brisbane we wanted to try something new. Being Thai we thought sAme sAme would be another Thai asian place but we were wrong. The food was Asian with a Modern twist, turning contemporary Thai cuisine into something new and exciting to eat whilst maintain the depth of flavour we expect from Thai food. We ordered mamy dishes but these two stood out the most for me. First the Ox Toung was out of this world. It was soft and did not smell at all. Eaten with the cured egg yolk, galangal chili paste, and beatle leaf offers a perfect balance flavour. Secondly, id recommemd the banna flower salad as it is a great dish to help balance the deep intense flavours of the other dishes available. The food overall was great and we were not dissapointed, the price was moderate, but for what we got, It was worth every penny.nnI would like to highlight the service provided by the staff. All the staff who served us were extremely polite and energetic making our night ever more enjoyable. A special shout out to Mei who was serving our section. She was proactive and consistently checking up on us. Our glass were always full with water or drinks and our empty plates were cleared away soon after we finished eating. She displayed the pinnacle of what the service industry has to offer.nnThe restaurant is located in this commual kinda food up town area of the Fortitude valley and there's plenty of parking when we went. The bit i was sitting was a bit dark for my liking but it was alright and was able to read fine. I do wonder how the kitchen staff could see though, as their was very little light around the kitchen as well.nnOverall, great food, good location and amazing service and dining experience. Definitly recommend and will be coming back next time.
Food & drinks nFood menu is creative and also very tastynnService - averagenTable is booked but still have to wait a while until someone talk to us even there were a few waiters walked passes.nnAtmosphere - averagenThe waiter didn't mention anything and wipe the aircon above our drinks. It could be dusty as well apart from the dripping water.nnI'll go back but definitely choose better seats that do not have dripping air- con up the top
