Had a really great burger which was absolutely massive and came with chips for only $17, such good value. Also had some jalapeno poppers which were super tasty. My girlfriend had a half rack of ribs which came with chips and was only around $30. Definitely would recommend.
Still the best - currently 4 months pregnant feeling full. Also, went there for a Sunday easy lunch. Had a all you can eat rib, chicken & chips......simply the best...hope it keeps it up.
Never a bad meal at Lone Star. The Ribs n Rump deal is my fave with more than enough pork ribs to slide off the bone after a 200gram medium cooked rump with sweet potato side and salad. Great value under $40.
Lunch on a Wednesday. Friendly staff. Service was fine. We had chicken, bacon & avocado melt with chips. Looked heavy but was surprisingly easy to eat & quite yum. My friend was unlucky, her chicken had a small uncooked section which she declined to complain about. The sticky date pudding was big & delicious served warm with just the right amount of sauce so it wasn't sickly sweet. It also came with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream - yum! Not sure about the addition of marshmallows with the dessert though, that seemed a bit out of place.
We went on a quiet night Thursday and got the grill platter special. There was heaps of tasty food for two, it arrived quickly, and staff were helpful. The table was unfortunately very sticky, staff said it was due to the effects of the sun on the varnish, otherwise I couldn't fault the experience.
very disappointing from a restaurant i used to know as a kid. Service was good and prompt but the atmosphere and food are the downfall. Ordered a diet coke and got something that tasted like cherry and nothing resembling diet coke or normal coke for that matter could be syrup/soap. Our ribs came out in about 4 minute of ordering which was worrisome - they were extremely fatty and not the most amazing flavour. Half of my ribs i didn’t want to eat from being just squishy and fatty. The chips were also very average. Won’t be going back.
Food was great value for money and lots of it! Inside echoed "alot". The team were understaffed but attentive and friendly. Ribs were great. Would I go back = YES.
Staff are always super friendly. Food is usually pretty good but I would wait for a special as can be pricey.
Nice American grill themed restaurant with reasonable portion sizes. The staff are friendly and the ribs and steak are OK for what you pay.
We had lunch there on Monday. Very quiet which was good -for us ! Ashleigh, the Manager, was extremely courteous, friendly and helpful with her explanation of choices available. So our compliments to her and to the chef. The entrees we had were onion rings which were plentiful and nice and the calamari which was cooked to perfection and very tasty. For mains we had one of the chicken dishes with chips and a fresh salad - again good plus the pork ribs which were falling off the bone which is how I like them. Then finished off with a pecan pie dessert which was also very enjoyable. Overall- a very pleasant dining experience with excellent service. So don't just think about it - just enjoy it !!
