I was advised by GP to seek emergency medical attention after consultation today due to experiencing pancreas pain for 3 days. The GP clinic didn’t have scanning equipment to test and due to severity of symptoms. After waiting 6.5 hrs in ED I was seen by a person I thought was a doctor but was a nurse. He had advised after pushing on my abdomen that there were no staff to conduct tests and to go back to my GP! QLD health care is run by incompetent people. If you have a medical emergency I strongly recommend not to attend this hospital!
If I could give this no stars I would. Absolutely worst emergency waiting room I’ve ever been to. If possible go to another hospital or you’ll be waiting forever. Too many people, not enough beds, understaffed. Ended up leaving after waiting over 7 hours with a broken leg and went to Redland bay satellite hospital which had me xrayed, leg in a cast and on my way after not even 2 hours.
Arrived at ED at 8pm last night and told there was a 6.5hr wait. Seen at 7.30am this morning only to be told it's not that bad and go home all the while having sat there in pain. They really need a doc at the front desk to give a quick assessment of patients or give the nurses the ability too so that people aren't wasting their time for nothing. I feel like this part of the hospital has really lost its touch as there were some servere people last night that should have been a lot sooner than what they were.
A lot of people have told me not to go to Logan Hospital. I listen and avoided it.nUntil last night when my son needed to go urgently. I was extremely happy with the care he received. The doctor and nurses were great. I wouldn't have a problem going there again if needed. I feel people expect private hospital care at a public hospital.
1 star for service the staff are really rude when it comes to mental health. I was admitted into the ER for a suicide attempt and long lasting depression and they did nothing for me but practically tell me just to deal with it and they turned me away after waiting 6 hours to be seen. Never go to this hospital ever if you have mental health problems
