The rumours are TRUE .The best pie we have ever had. It's worth the drive if you're not that far away. Packed full of meat and selected filling.nThe pastry is crispy and flaky.nDelicious.nThe range is basic but what they do, is perfect !
Tried the pies here for the first time and was immediately impressed with the size and look of these bad boys. Had the steak and mushroom pie as well as the steak pie. The steak n mushroom pie I couldn't get out of its tray so had to eat with a fork, plenty of mushrooms and chunky bits of steak... delicious. The steak pie I managed to get out of it's tray and the bottom broke immediately so had to eat this one out of the tray with a fork also. Heaps of yummy tender steak and was very delicious as well. Great pies but I recommend u take a fork or spoon if eating in. Otherwise would be a 5 star review. Definitely worth trying as they are huge and very tasty. Well priced and plenty of tasty looking treats as well. Great quick service from friendly staff. Recommend you get down early and have try... won't be disappointed.
This is a must drive to get one of the best Pies I've had in a long time.nnThese Pies are better than NZnnWe tried Creamy vegetable, Smoked fish, mince and cheese .nnHands down would buy regularly if I lived near here. Nectar of the Gods nnLITTLE KIWI BAKEHOUSE - 10/10nnI'm reliving my youth from New Zealand.nnWho's driving over 50 Kmh for a pie these days ?, me, of course nnI've had almost every pie known to man, and unlike Australia, dominating the this country with their burgers . My heritage is New Zealand , and once upon a time You'd see pie shop or bakery on every strip . Being here, you just don't see or have the same opportunity without getting in your car and driving literallynHours just to get something worthy of the trip .nnSure, there are plenty of bakeries and pie shops here, but to be fair, if I posted the list, most of them would be a 4 or 5 at best. There's a massive gap between what is truly worthy & what is nothing more than the run of the mill !nnLittle Kiwi Bakehouse is in my view No1 in QLD by a country mile.nnMy only disappointment was missing out on trying their smoked fish pie, a New Zealand favorite .nnI read reviews and see these critics complain about needing a fork to clean out the foil tray. This is a top rated Bakery... An it is AMAZING. We had the steak and mushroom pie. It was full and flavoursome with the best pastry I have had in a long time. The staff were efficient and friendly.nThe only reason for a four star atmosphere was a dog barking the whole time and was hard to hear order because of this, as I assume it's pet friendly. Plenty of parking, small eating area, but a park close by. When busy there is a lengthy line but so worth the wait. Suggest to pop on there Facebook page/menu to be prepared on what you may enjoy. Saves alot of time.nDefinitely will be back when down the coast way again.
