Not one to ever post reviews publicly but my wife’s and I experience at Liquid Nails has won me over. We’ve been skeptical of getting nail services since the last place we went to completely ruined our cuticles and nail bed. But we decided to give Liquid a try and ended up loving it. From the super accommodating staff, helpful front desk receptionist and the gentle care of our nails, we have never felt better and well taken care of. Atmosphere was extremely relaxing and friendly. They are all lovely, hardworking people and genuinely care about their customers especially with the request of being gentle with my pregnant wife. Highly recommend to all.
Paid $70 for a full set of acrylics and an extra $10 to have them shaped. I was a bit surprised that they charged to have them shaped. Was asked by 4 different staff within 5 minutes if I’d picked a colour. Felt like they were really pushing me to hurry up even though the salon was quiet and it was 2 hours before closing time. My nails are fine, not great not bad. Wouldn’t go out of my way to go there again.Service: Acrylic nails
I’ve had a few nice experiences having my fingers or toes done, but then one of the staff asked my name; she had seen my face here before. Since then, every visit at least one of their team if not more welcome me using my name. It elevates the visit to a VIP-type experience. Remember, can have your nails done anywhere, but I always get lovely comments on how mine look from friends & staff. I always go back for the personalised service now. Keep up the great work !!!
I would not recommend this place to anyone. They make the price up on the spot so don’t bother looking at their ‘price list’. I have never once in the 6 years of getting my nails done paid anything over $60 for a refill. I was charged $100 for a refill which is absolutely mind blowing. I was told because of the ‘nail art’ it was that much. I asked for ombre and usually it is done with mixing the 2 powders together but in this case because it was a refill she painted the base then went in with the white using her finger to blend the colour together?? Do you not own brushes for that?? Will not be returning and will be telling people to stay far away from this business. -1 stars.
Terrible service. Staff are extremely rude especially the man receptionist. Paid $60 for my toes to get done. Two acrylic nails and the rest shellac. They were very thick and the nail polish was all bumpy with bubbles. They would not give a refund although I had to get them off the next day. They wanted to fix it but I couldn’t as my toe is bruised and swollen due to their service. Would not recommend at all! Waste of money and time. Will be reporting the business due to big health and safety risk.Services: Nail cut & filing
Favourite nail salon I've been to- they do a great ombre, don't make acrylics super thick and bulgy, and they really make sure your nails are consistent in length. Would recommend.
I need to preface this complaint with saying that the first time I came here it was great and had no issues, I actually loved my nails. That particular time, I got a full set acrylic on my fingers almond shape and paid $60 which is true I rechecked my account. This time, totally different story. Received a really rushed job where the girl glued my nails on crooked to begin with which I did politely bring up with her straight away however she didn’t fix them and moved on, which meant multiple nails were still crooked at the end. She also told me half way through doing my nails that she was charging me $90 because I was wanting “almond shape” and that’s more expensive than round or square!? Overall less than satisfactory experience and would not recommend going there if that’s the standard.
Liquid nail bar was the first nail salon I tried, back about 5 years as they had good rating and I was happy with the nail. But the last couple times I was bit disappointed as the nails either chip off done both shellac and sns not even 2 weeks or it feels so thick and doesn’t feel natural anymore. I keep going back when I’m in the city for the convenience but sadly I won’t be returning as the price is bit crazy and seems it’s made up on the spot, the price doesn’t match the quality unfortunately.
Friendly staff, good nails. I got oval acrylics, normal polish and fast dry top coat. 60 bucks :
Average nail salon, used to be better. I have been here many times now because it is close to work and convenient but my experience is varied. I think it very much depends on the technician you get on the day. Overall feel of my last few experiences though has been that they give lazy manicure/pedicures rushed, not filing properly etc, the tools used are not very clean and I always get asked to pay cash. When my response is that I don't have cash, they the man handling the front counter asks "can you go to an ATM?". It's really not good customer service to pressure your customers into paying a certain way. Also, there's no point of having an online booking system if you don't use it - why have someone book online and when they arrive you don't actually check if they have an appointment? Sometimes you just walk in and other times you wait more than 30-40 mins even with an appointment. Most times I have been reasonably happy with their shellac manicure & pedicure, even though the nail filing isn't great and sometimes the polish is a little messy around the nail. The shellac does seem to last a long time as well - you don't need the nail protectant they try to sell you either. My nails have been the same with or without it.
